⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5-Star Review for Jin Ju – Woman-Owned BEST Sushi & Korean Restaurant & Chef in St. Pete

If you’re looking for the best sushi and Korean in St. Pete, RUN to Jin Ju! This place is an absolute gem. Not only do they have the most incredible, fresh, flavorful sushi in town, but their BOGO sushi deal is unreal — high-quality rolls at unbeatable prices.

As a tuna lover, I’m blown away every single time. Their tuna is unbelievably fresh and melt-in-your-mouth good. And if you’re not in a sushi mood, their flank steak is a must-try — tender, juicy, and a hidden gem on the menu.

One of the things that makes Jin Ju so special is that it’s a woman-owned business, led by an incredible woman chef whose passion shows in every dish. The employees absolutely adore her, and the energy is contagious — everyone is kind, upbeat, and genuinely happy to be there.

The service is consistently exceptional — friendly, attentive, and joyful. It truly feels like the happiest staff in St. Pete. Thanks Pedro if you read this!

The ambiance is beautiful — modern, zen, cozy, and perfect for date night, dinner with friends, or even a huge party! I’m always able to get seated right away, which feels rare for a restaurant this amazing.

Every roll and entrée is chef’s-kiss PERFECT. This is easily one of the top restaurants in St. Petersburg, best sushi near Downtown St. Pete, and my personal go-to for incredible food, great vibes, and unbeatable deals.

If you’re searching for St. Pete sushi, BOGO sushi specials, fresh tuna rolls, best sashimi, steak entrées, or local woman-owned restaurants, Jin Ju needs to be at the very top of your list. You will LOVE it here! 🍣✨

Meant to take a pic of the delicious food but we devoured it 😂💕

his was my first time ever having Korean food, and it was amazing. Not entirely what I expected, but in the best way. I came with a friend who knows the cuisine well and handled the ordering for the table, so I knew I was in good hands. Our server was incredibly kind and helpful, guiding us on what Soju to try and checking in throughout the meal. The restaurant itself felt chic and modern with a calm, welcoming atmosphere. If I ever make my way back to Chicago, this will definitely be one of the first places I return to.

This was my first time dining at this restaurant, and I must say the dishes I ordered were absolutely delightful. You can truly taste the authenticity of the Korean cuisine. I also love the way each dish was beautifully plated, which added even more depth to the experience. The restaurant has a unique vibe and an amazing atmosphere that makes it stand out. The server was very attentive, and the host was welcoming and kind. Jinju has truly set the standard for Korean dining. I will definitely return to try more dishes and highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. 💙🇰🇷

Stopped in yesterday! Can’t wait to come back!

Stopped by Jin Ju for dinner—got the Dak Gan Jang wings, a stone‑pot Bibimbap, and a Sojutini cocktail. Wings were crisp with that sweet‑spicy punch, Bibimbap was hot and loaded, though rice was slightly dense. Cozy, dim vibe and staff were solid. The private rooms make it perfect for date night or chill hangs. Only slight con: rice texture needs tweaking.

I wanted to like this place because the service and atmosphere were so lovely, but both the food and cocktails left something to be desired. The bibimbap was a little dry and underwhelming and my drink was watery. But it felt like a new restaurant that hasn't quite hit it's stride yet, and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back :)

Came here for a girls night dinner because we felt like Korean. The service and drinks were excellent, but as a Korean, the food was just OK. All our dishes carried Korean flavors, but tasted like it was toned down and “Americanized”. The banchans were not reflective of traditional Korean banchans as well.
If you’re looking for a nice intro into Korean cuisine, Jin Ju would be a a good first step.

Food and service was good but the restaurant was very noisy and it was difficult to have a conversation, which made the experience unpleasant and I couldn't wait to leave.

Jin Ju was fire. The vibe is cozy but sleek—perfect for date night or catching up with a couple friends. I had the dolsot bibimbap and we split some mandoo to start. Also had a yuzu sake cocktail that slapped. Total was around $40 with tip. Service was solid, not rushed. Food came out hot and well-seasoned. Definitely one of the better Korean spots on the North Side.

Sleek & upscale Korean BBQ, but where they cook the food in the back (cause who wants to cook their own food when you go out!). Modern urban aesthetic dining space. Incredibly delicious food that comes out quick. Had the Bulgogi (beef) & Chop Chae (with glass noodles) which were both outstanding. Also the Dak Gang Jang, their take on Buffalo wings, which are fried tempura-style with a sweet- spicy sauce with a subtle heart that sneaks up on you. Paired great with a large bottle of Korean brewed Terra which is a very carbonated lager with subtle sweetness. Server was great & really made our experience fun.
