Had an amazing omakase experience at Joto Sushi. The food were well thought of, fresh and tasted really good. It was nice that we weren't rushed and the omakase chef took his time. The servers and other staff members were great too. They let us sit down by the bar while waiting for our experience to start
The food was generally tasty, but the rolls kept falling apart, which is unacceptable for sushi at this price point. The flavor itself was rather average, so the overall impression of the rolls was mixed. The service was okay, but it felt rushed and plates were taken away almost immediately, sometimes right from under our hands, which gave the impression that we were being hurried to leave.
Excellent selection and the dry aged nigiri was so flavorful. Also, crispy tuna bites were amazing.
Excellent food and ambiance. Service was also excellent and very professional. 10 out of 10
came with a friends mom and a couple friends food and drinks were amazing, my favorite was the crunchy scallop ooou and you can't forget the edamame . jazel was our server she be as the best and made us feel so welcomed. 10/10 recommend 🤩
Food was overpriced for what you got. Honestly the Gyoza's could been frozen food that was reheated. No wonder the restaurant world is hurting if this is the value provided.
Got the Omakase and it did not disappoint! We were the only couple that did the omakase at that time, so it was like we got private tasting.
We highly recommend the Omakase experience! Every bite was filled with texture and flavors. Chef and staff were friendly! Would recommend to anyone visiting Chicago!
Joto Sushi is always a favorite of ours. The service is consistently great and we've never had a bad bite there! Definitely recommend anyone looking for great sushi at a reasonable price to try Joto!
It took an hour for our first course to arrive. We spent the rest of the meal debating whether we should leave.

Never served our second drink that we ordered and seated at small table where a large and loud group were right on top of us. Service was not good but food was amazing.
Outstanding sushi with sauces that enhance the flavor and appeal. The KATSUO CHUTORO was a standout in a dinner we thoroughly enjoyed. Alina, our waiter, was helpful and a delight to work with. Joto is our first choice for sushi in Chicago.
This was the best sushi in Chicago hands down. I lived in Chicago all my life and my favorite was Sushi Wabi which closed awhile ago. I am so glad I found this place because the sushi is outstanding and they even dry age their fish as well which you don't always see.
Sent a group to Joto and it received rave reviews from everyone. Tony was incredible to work with and we are exciting to continue to dine there.
We had a wonderful server and we decided on the Tableside Omakase. The first plate (5 rolls) were heavy on the wasabi. The second plate of (4 rolls) was great! Delicious! The third plate (4 rolls) was the BEST. That A5 wagyu is perfection! We ordered two more rolls with fatty tuna and octopus which were our servers recommendation. Truly great service!
