JJ’s in downtown Chicago does NOT miss. 🔥

We pulled up hungry after The Art Institute and left plotting our next visit. The fillets? Crispy on the outside, flaky and tender on the inside that were seasoned all the way through, not just a little sprinkle on top. You can tell that oil was right and the cook knew what they were doing.

And don’t even get me started on the catfish tails. Golden, crunchy, perfectly fried with that bold, savory...
Not sure what they sprinkled on the top of the chicken, but overall, the chicken is pretty juicy. Unfortunately, the french fries are very oily. No free dip or sauce.

The seller was too busy on the phone and its expected service we would get in this area. Not a very clean for dine-in. But again, the chicken is juicy!
Fist timer. The Buffalo sauce is perfect. Just enough to make sweet beads on my forehead. The fries are good too. My wife had the Tilapia it was lightly breaded. It takes a little longer to cook than the chicken.
