Had an incredible meal at Joe's from start to finish! The service and atmosphere was so welcoming. You must have the steak tartare!! I will definitely be back!

One can do a whole lot better with many other restaurants. I don't know how there are so many positive reviews. They say they are a wine bar but honestly the wine selection is moderate and the prices are so high. Food was fine but small - very small portions. And everything is expensive for what it is. If everything was 2-5 dollars less it would be fine.

Outstanding meal and fun atmosphere yet intimate. Perfect for catch up with friends, family or date night.

Stopped by here the other night for a drink. Was able to walk in and sit at the bar! Vibes were cute, it's a perfect date night spot. Service was fast, got some dirty martinis served with blue cheese stuffed olives. One of the best dirty martinis I have had! Cant wait to come back and try some food next time!

John was amazing and got us seated right away. Brought us this amazing thin mint dessert that was to die for! Our waitress Kristen was awesome and made me a drink based on my preferences definitely a got to after work spot!

My friends and I were looking for one last drink before we ended the night. We completely fooled ourselves. With cocktails and other drinks like these, you don't want just one! They were that good. Service was pleasant. There were many people checking on us, which was nice at first but we felt rushed to order a second drink because of the constant asking if we needed anything. Not complaining though! We didn't know it was possible for the second drinks to top the first! We limited our options to the cocktail menu, and would confidently recommend any of the cocktails - you will not regret it. Ambiance was more of an intimate vibe. Calm but with a fun energy to it! Looking forward to visiting again.

Whipped ricotta is the jam, we also loved the Parmesan puffs and the wine selection was great. Awesome service too

Always an amazing experience at Joe’s! The GM John is super friendly and Kristen always has fun new cocktails for me to try. The food is unreal, Chef Aras has great dishes with thoughtful touches. Definitely try the sea bass crudo, the steak tartare, pork chop + the black cod. Will be back again soon to try brunch.

I recently went to Chicago over the Halloween weekend to visit a friend and do a food tour around the city. I've hosted a food series for a local tv station, and currently I don't have any Michelin rated restaurants where I live. So, add being a foodie to that and Chicago is a stop on my list. The food tour was basically trick or treating for two adults. Drop in try some food and a drink, then move on. I can say there were no tricks and only treats when we got to Joe's Imports. For two weeks my friend talked about going to Joe's to get the FB & J. When we arrived it was a little busy and we told the hostess our mission, get a drink and an FB & J. The bar was full, so we were seated at a table in the dining area. At this point I'm not sure if it was the look on our face as we waited or just the energy pull that led John R., the GM to our table. John introduced himself to PJ and I. She told him our mission and that I was visiting from Charlotte, NC. John then asked if we ever had the Whipped Ricotta, which we had not and he sent over an order. The creaminess of the ricotta with the sweetness of the honeycomb, and crunch of that bread, OMG. Then the FB & J came to the table. First of all, the plating was exquisite, the softness of the foie gras mousse and the hint of tartness from the blackberry-thyme jam on brioche honestly made me say, "I need a moment to savor this." The dish was everything PJ said it would be. To our surprise the quick stop wasn't over. First a visit from John and then chef, Aras D, visited our table to see who only wanted foie gras. A great conversation with chef Aras and then he returned later with a smore dessert and a sample of a possible new dessert item. The dessert was the chef's take on a snickers, a chocolate cake, foie gras for the filling with caramel and nuts on top. I must say one of the better desserts I've tasted. From start to finish the experience was top notch. If you go, order the FB & J no matter what. I know each time I am in the Windy City I will stop by Joe's

We are visiting from Seattle and LOVED this place. Staff were so friendly and helped guide us through the menu. Chef Aras came to the table to talk through my allergies. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The GM, John, also came over several times to check on us to make sure we were having a great time every step of the meal. We will be coming back for brunch tomorrow!

Not bad. Food is certainly good enough to stand by itself. Hot dishes arrived at the same time as cold dishes though. Waiter seemed to be in outer space and not particularly interested in selling wine at a wine bar.

What an incredible surprise! Food, Drinks & Service - wish I could give it 5+ stars!! My sister & I had the best time on the patio! Alexander took care of us & the talented chef came out and shared his inspiration. We so appreciated the extra TLC with bubbly tastes paired with dessert & send off. We are so very grateful & can’t wait to come back. Thank you for this unexpected gift

I wanted to love this place. My boyfriend and I had been eagerly anticipating our reservation here, but it just wasn’t what we thought it would be. The restaurant itself is pretty small and very loud. Our waiter came to take our order about 2 minutes after we were seated. When we told him we needed just a couple minutes, we did not see him again for another 15. At that point he took our drink order and tried to scurry off; we told him we wanted to place our food order as well and he seemed annoyed. For drinks, we got the PCP and the Secret Garden. These were the highlight of the meal. They were delicious, though very small for $15. In terms of food, we tried the black cod, burrata, octopus arancini, and Brussels sprouts. We were underwhelmed by the burrata and the cod. Not bad, but nothing special. The burrata would have been better served with bread than with crackers. I liked the Brussels sprouts, but felt that they were a bit hard and undercooked. My boyfriend and I agree that the octopus arancini was just bad. We could smell it (in a bad way) from the moment it arrived at the table. It was the only item we did not finish. Overall, we felt that this meal was overpriced for the quantity and the quality of the food and service we received. There are better options in Fulton Market.
