Great Thanksgiving meal at Joes. This place is always top notch. Great food, great service and a great atmosphere.
Always a fabulous experience at Joe's. The best service and the Thanksgiving meal was superb!
Historically a fine restaurant with all the pluses good food good service and attention to detail.
We had shrimp cocktail, salmon, filet, ribeye and scallops. Sides were mashed potatoes, hash browns and onion rings. Everyone enjoyed there entrees. Apple pie with ice cream and coconut cream pie dessert.
Their shellfish is INCREDIBLE. Would not recommend the stone crab, too much work (we both ended up with cuts on our fingers) with not a lot of payout. But...would definitely go back for the awesome shrimp cocktail, king crab and lobster.
Joe's in Chicago delivered an exceptional experience in many ways. Walking in from the freezing Chicago sidewalks into their warm, elegant dining room felt like stepping out of a wind tunnel and straight into a hug made of mahogany and good lighting. The rich wood walls and classic design create an inviting, upscale atmosphere that sets the tone immediately. We stayed at the Marriott across the street and the moment that we walked in, I was really, really hopeful. First night. New city. Hangry at this point. The food and service were outstanding. Started with scallops special. Hubby: New York strip, and we shared a side of potatoes topped with cheese, bacon, and crisp breadcrumbs. Service throughout the evening was attentive, polished, genuinely friendly. It is above and beyond. If it was only ranked on this alone, everyone from the person who greeted us all the way to the bartender that was just a good evening on our way out, would've sold it. However, a few things kept the night from being a full five stars. The tables were extremely close together, and it felt like we were practically sitting on top of the guests beside us. Our table was in an awkward spot with my back facing the main restaurant, I kept feeling the need to turn around as servers passed by. The restroom situation wasn't ideal either. With only two single-person bathrooms, there was a line more than once. And for reference, the bill for two steaks, one appetizer, one bottle of Pinot Noir and a shared side came to about $400--just a straightforward note for anyone planning a visit. Again, if it was only the warm ambiance (especially welcome in a city that could double as a walk-in freezer) and service to consider, Joe's is top notch.
Another amazing meal. I always bring my team here for their reviews and last night was again, an exceptional experience. Way to go Joes, you are consistently spectacular and shout out to our server Danny! and Eric at the front is always full of hospitality!! Marissa the manager stopped by and was a delight as well. Thank you all for a great night! -Ash

We absolutely lucked out with randomly walking into Joe's. We somehow got an amazing table that Jennifer graced with her next level service. She sweetly made suggestions for drinks and food and completely blew our minds with the sublime sustenance suggestions along with entertaining us with her cheerful tableside manners. We sampled many items but strangely, the winning dish for us was the Cobb Salad with Stone Crab.

I haven’t reviewed anything in a while, but my wonderful experience at Joe’s today compelled me to do so! Right off the bat, I was warmly greeted by the maitre d’, Eric, who instantly made me feel welcome (I noticed he had the same disarming effect on others as they entered as well, whether they were regulars or strangers). They had the jumbo stone crab available which were excellent—I feel very lucky to have access to a them in Chicago. The atmosphere is sophisticated, but comfortable and the service was polished. I’ll definitely be back soon!
