Pretty empty for lunch, and we just ordered oysters and steak tartare which unfortunately took more than 30 minutes to get to us.
The oysters had been rinsed (therefore losing their saltiness) and each had some of their mignonette on top, of which I was not a fan.
The steak tartare equally was very watery, with the horseradish dominating the flavor profile. The roti or naan that came with it was warm and buttery.

Hands down the best burger in Chicago! Solid but elevated in a simplistic to the point way. Spectacular burger. Chill vibe too.

Kid-friendliness: Great. Food. Good. Employees. Clean. Restaurant

Very average. Burger was tasty but overpriced. Limited menu, pretentious and a lame policy of automatically charging 20% service fee that was only communicated to us after the fact. I’m into tipping, but don’t like the shake down. Wouldn’t recommend, esp r compared to other options in the area.

Had a great experience last night! Arrived around 615 on a Thursday and sat right down. I really like the concept of ordering before you sit. We were still checked in on by multiple people during our dinner!
Food and drinks were excellent. Don’t skip the milk bread and fries. My favorite dish though was 100% the foie tart?

This is the perfect place every neighborhood dreams of! Just moved to the city and absolutely loved the food, the concept, the simplicity yet the complexity of it all, delicious twists on food classics and lovely decor. Will be back +++ !

Great food and great drinks. Buyer be warned. You will not be seated until you place your order for food. Host told us that a party of 4 could eat 8 to 10 plates… on average there are 11 plates on the menu. Most dishes priced at 25+ with the top plate near 100.
Nearly perfect. I will say the food was something amazing. We started with the beet salad that was so sweet and balanced. The crème fresh and nuts in it were a perfect salad opener. We also got the foccacia which was delectable, however the butter was very yeasty and tasted like a goat cheese in a way - not my speed but if you want a strong butter it would be for you.
We then got the crab pasta and I will 100% come back for it. The menu changes often so definitely go in while it’s still available. The pasta was soo fresh, and perfectly chewy and cooked. The lobster sauce was so complex and had an amazing finish to it. Additionally, they add little croutons which give it an amazing balance of textures. A good portion overall.
Finally, we got the cod and though it tasted very good, it comes with some amazing beans and mushrooms but it’s a little light and could maybe use some carbs in it. I would explore the steak if you are non vegetarian.
The restaurant operates in a “no servers” way so all the food is ordered when you enter. However, thought it was very efficient - sometimes we didn’t get our water and the plates were not picked up. If you love restaurants with “service first” then this might throw you off for sure.
Finally, a comment on the dessert. The lemon parfait was not good. Extremly sour, and I would avoid it if you like a sweet dessert. Additionally it had a bunch of thyme which made it taste almost like pine needles. The textures were off and it ruined the nearly perfect experience. It felt like crunchy ice with cream on top.

I came by for some early drinks and apps with my friends, and we were “seated” in a small nook in the main walkway and just felt shuffled around the whole time. If we were able to be seated rather than standing in the walkway, we would have ordered more drinks/food, but had our one drink and needed to leave. The atmosphere was very un inviting and I am disappointed with my experience!

Like the the other many comments on here about the service, I will not be returning because of it. It took over an hour for the main dish to come out. The manager came over and offered comp'd drinks, champagne and the main dish. I was looking over the receipt the next day and noticed the 20% tip was added to all of the comp'd items even though I didn't ask for the drinks. I reached out to the restaurant to have the tip reflect the items I actually ordered. They were responsive and then completely stopped when I asked for the adjustment. I actually had to reach out to my credit card company to get the charge removed. Horrible manager. Very deceitful and felt like I was taken advantage of. I will not be returning.

Exceptional experience. Great food, excellent service, and a fun/unique take on fine dining. They don't take reservations which sounds daunting but is actually quite nice, especially if you want to find a really nice dinner and haven't planned it out weeks in advance. The surrounding neighborhood is fun, safe, and great to walk around if there's a wait.
