Good value clay pot rice that includes a container of soup on the side but the bottom is not crispy if you order as is.
What I do is order takeout, bring it home and put the aluminum takeout bowl directly over flame and cook it for 5-10 minutes longer to develop a nice 飯焦/faan ziu.
The cooking time depends on how the bottom crust is developing. I also hit it with a torch on the sides where the bottom flames can't reach as well to even out the crisping. If you don't have a torch then just be careful not to burn the bottom. You can stick a spoon under the rice to check how it's going.
During this process you'll see steam coming up from the places where you're heating up as the water evaporates from the rice and a crackling noise can be heard as the crust is forming. If you use a torch, don't stay in one spot for too long or else you'll burn the rice. Keep the torch moving.
Once it's to your desired doneness, pour the sauce it comes with over the rice and mix the crispy bits around so you get some in every bite. Or don't. You can do whatever you want.
Order well ahead of time on their website before you arrive as I've found that it takes at least 40 minutes for my orders to be ready. If you go in person, the only way to order is from a kiosk. You pay for everything at the grocery checkout after waiting an eternity for the clay pot rice.
If you plan to eat there and can speak Chinese you can try to tell them to cook the rice longer to get a better crust. I have only eaten there once and there was basically no crust on mine so I just started doing takeout because I hate sitting there and waiting anyway.
My experience has only been based on ordering the clay pot rice so your experience may differ.
3 stars for atmosphere and service because it's a grocery store and the staff just cooks your food and hands it to you. Perfectly acceptable. It's basically 5 stars for this type of establishment because how could it get any better?
4 stars for food because good value and portions but 5 stars would need to have a consistent crust.
Still 5 stars for me though.

Hidden inside a Chinese supermarket, this spot is a true gem for comforting and affordable claypot rice. For just around $30, we enjoyed a full meal without needing to worry about tips — amazing value!
We tried the Chinese sausage claypot rice, which came sizzling hot with that perfect crispy bottom layer of rice that makes claypot so special. The sausage was savory and slightly sweet, balancing beautifully with the soy sauce drizzled on top.
On the side, we had a plate of blanched Chinese greens with oyster sauce — fresh, vibrant, and a nice contrast to the rich rice. The meal also came with a simple but warm and satisfying soup, which felt very homey.
To top it off, we ordered crispy pork belly, which had that beautiful crunchy skin and tender meat underneath. It paired really well with the dipping sauce provided.
Overall, the food was delicious, filling, and reminded me of classic home-style Chinese comfort food. Definitely a place I’d come back to again and again for a casual and satisfying meal.

Love these Claypot dinners! Made fresh to order right in front of you!
I come all the time, the beef congee, chicken congee, and seafood congee are sooo comforting and delicious!
I recently tried their eel Claypot and the spare ribs with Chinese sausage and broccoli. You can't go wrong with any of their entrees! Comes with a free complimentary soup which is so flavorful too!
Definitely worth the price, great value and decent portions and the food is cooked right in front of you in the claypot.
I didn't give 5 stars bc their bakery is just okay. I've tried their baked goods and I'm not impressed, pretty underwhelmed actually. The only thing that is good is the fluffy cheesecake but they don't have them daily it's a holiday special type baked good. I've tried many of their other pastries and they are just okay definitely not as good as Chinatown bakeries.
Other than that, I'm definitely coming back and will just order the claypot dinners and avoid the bakery. There's plenty of seating availability and after eating you can browse the market plenty of exotic fruits, snacks and drinks!

I ordered the vermicelli with roasted duck, which used to be much better in the past. This time, the duck tasted like it had been frozen—not fresh at all—and the broth was bland and lacking flavor. Disappointing overall. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend it anymore.

Just hit up Jonny’s Claypot Rice in Chinatown, grabbed the pork‑ribs claypot rice and Chinese sausage combo for a hearty lunch. Rice had that crispy bottom vibe, meat was juicy, with a free soup on the side. Took ~15 min to cook but worth it. Chill hole‑in‑the‑wall spot inside Park to Shop supermarket—staff cool, just wish seating was a bit comfier. Still strong find!

A restaurant inside a grocery store, ordering process is a bit complicated, but not a big problem, need place your order then pay at the grocery store check out and bring the receipt back to the chef. Decent price for the quality and value. Took about 15mins to get my order and I can see the whole process of my food being processed.
Got the hot pot sausage caliper, another one with spareribs (each clay pot came with complimentary soup), and Chinese Gailan w/ oyster sauce. Love the the crispy rice bottom, the meats are flavorful. The rice is only very lightly seasoned, but there is soy sauce on the table that you can add. Recommend getting the one with spareribs, would love to try other ones next time.
This place also has delivery service, and rice is cooked in foil bowl.

Wasn’t able to order online because the website automatically puts in 20 portions of the bbq pork/duck clay pot rice.
Authentic and affordable claypot rice in a supermarket. Soup that came with the rice was homey. Expect street food style service and food.

It’s a clay pot restaurant inside the Park to Shop super market. Still a bit manual payment process. Order at the restaurant and pay upfront at the cashier (grocery store)
It’s a go to for clay pot rice. They added porridge and noodle selections to their menu. But clay pot is a must try, the bbq clay pot is always my favorite.
