Choice overload! Tons of Chinese/Asian fusion dishes (Chow mein, chow fun, fried rice, pad thai). Tons of choices for drinks - boba, smoothies, juice. Everything was fresh and portions were good for sharing. Liked the fried soft japanese tofu and the chicken veggie stir fry. Chow fun and fried rice were average - too oily for me but it's got the typical Chinese takeout flavor.Kid-friendliness: Sweet drinks
First visit here and we were very impressed! Our orders were delivered fast, hot, and super delicious!!! There were 5 of us and three were vegetarian. We all easily found many options on their expansive menu! The portions were huge so you'll want to be prepared to carry home your leftovers. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. Will definitely be coming back here!!

Joyees used to be good. Not just in Chinatown but this location too. We ordered $90 worth of takeout and it was mediocre at best. I could’ve gone to my local Chinese spot and gotten more flavor for a fraction of the cost here. The sesame chicken wasn’t that great, the Mongolian beef was lacking flavor and spice, the rice needed a tad bit more of soy sauce. I was just disappointed with the food for the price. I definitely could’ve gotten better food for less money somewhere else.Beware.

Overall a good spot for a casual meal, they have very generous portions of food and a large variety of bubble tea options! The food menu has a good number of vegetarian options as well which was appreciated by our group. Our favorite dishes were the Malaysian Spicy String Beans and the Salt Pepper Japanese Tofu! The place is also very clean and modern inside with a decent number of seating options.

The orange chicken was some of the best we’ve had it smelled like fresh oranges when we opened the package! The fried rice and pad thai are also very good.

I've been to the Joy Yee, in China Town, a thousand times and had a craving for Chinese. The restaurant was really quiet for dine in guests, but service was fast. The portion size was really really big. My plate was overflowing! I got the garlic chicken with noodles and it tasted perfect.
This is supposed to be "Grilled Chicken Kimchi". The chicken does not look grilled nor does it resemble chicken in ANY shape, form or fashion. The "chicken" smells of ammonia and the dish is just plain rancid. I HIGHLY recommend people to stay FAR away from this place as you simply don't know WTF they are passing off as food.

One of my favorite Asian restaurants - started going to their Chinatown location 20 years ago and was thrilled after I retired when they opened one closer to home. The menu is extensive and includes Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, and Korean. I've never had a bad meal there - everything is fresh and delicious and the portions are huge...took my Dad there today and after eating what we could from the 2 mains we ordered I still have enough left over for two more meals. Both the Evanston and Roscoe locations are BYOB. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff - they put the Joy in Joy Yee.

Got takeout from here. The food was unbelievably bland. I got the sesame chicken and the only flavor was that of being mildly burnt. The rice was dry and flavorless. I also got the Japanese beef potstickers and the plastic sauce container lid melted and spilled all over them so they were soggy and inedible. My partner had tofu and vegetables which were also bland. It was far too expensive for how bad it was. Very upsetting
