First time here and definitely worth trying. The chicken is soft and well seasoned with the jerk flavors. Mac and cheese is cheesy and good. Cabbage is good..now the red beans and rice tasted like rice a roni..it didn’t have that real flavor of red beans and rice plus I think all I got was like three beans. Then it came with some sauce that was sweet, rubbed me the wrong way. But overall I would recommend for anyone to try for themselves.

First time visiting the establishment and Im glad I gave them a try. I have to say I was impressed from the moment I ordered my meals. The cashier was very polite and patient with me while I made my choices and asked a lot of questions about the menu and how long they had been open. I never knew the restaurant was there. The restaurant is not well lit from the outside, I would have missed it if I was not given specific directions and told its right next door to Dukes lounge, which I have visited several times in the past. The young lady informed me that they have been open for almost 10 years mind-blowing. If I was not referred by my hair stylist last night I still would not have known that they were there. Shoot out to Ms Connie very professional and knowledgeable hair stylist on 79th specializing in natural hair, braids, everything (531 E 79th). Back to my jerk :-) I ordered two oxtail dinners and one jerk chicken dinner. The oxtails were super tender, fall off the bone tender the cabbage was seasoned just right, the rice and beans were delicious with the oxtail gravy on top and I also had a side of Mac and cheese which was just okay. The mac could have been creamier and more cheesy but that's just the way I like my Mac and cheese. Jerk chicken dinner was cooked to perfection also tender with a really good flavor, it had a different kind of sauce on top of the rice and beans a hint of sweetness, different but not bad at all. Overall I will revisit again and try the jerk catfish which the very beautiful and polite cashier informed me sells out pretty fast.

Don’t know why they thought it was ok to give me old, hard, burnt, and stale chicken from yesterday but they did. Mac n cheese would’ve been good if it wasn’t cold and I taste a lot of chicken seasoning in the Mac (y’all don’t need that much) I know the owner could’ve have been there because from my understanding he would never. Very disappointed, and don’t say you could’ve called or you should’ve brought it back because 1, no one has gas to waste 2, it’s too damn hot to come back out 3, y’all know better.get it right the first time. I don’t think I’ll be going back!

Never been here, just stopped randomly. It was the best stop I have ever made! Got the lunch special $10 for white jerk chicken it comes with rice and peas w/ your choice of 2 sides I got Mac and cheese and cabbage all the good was flavorful and cooked to perfection! The sauce is a hit!!!! My new home for jerk plus service was excellent! Must try!!!

My dark chicken dinner was good my only wish is that the food was fresh to order. I know the food was warmed up and some of the chicken pieces was a little hard/dry. Other than that the cabbage is amazing and my dinner overall great flavor. Good customer service too!
