Always love this place. Great food, neat atmosphere and great service. Consistently good anytime we've gone.
We absolutely loved every bite! We ordered one of the Special Rolls of the Day and enjoyed the flavors- woohoo spicey!
Sushi was below average and very disappointing This was the second time we had a disappointing meal - won't be going back
What a treat to eat good food, fairly priced, in a comfortable atmosphere where you can hear your friends conversation. Our server Rich served up his own special charm and expertise.
Will be great if you make a seating reservation

I've been dining here for decades even at their old location. It probably was just an off time because all we ordered were their crab cakes and chirashi bowl which literally takes less than 15 minutes to prepare. Over 45 minutes and we kept waiting we had to leave.
Food was excellent- a bit loud and waiter could have been a bit more friendly and communicative with menu options.
Kamehachi was amazing! The sushi is some of the best I've had. Salmon nigiri was smooth and buttery. We ordered a special Maki Mono with crispy rice it was the best. Service was attentive and courteous. Definitely will be back 👍🏼

Kamehachi is fantastic! I had not been to this neighborhood favorite in years, and I'm kicking myself for ever straying. The service was excellent, we loved the food, and the ambience is quite nice.
Meeting up with some locals who frequent this establishment all the time. Super glad they brought me here. I would venture to say this is the best sushi place in Chicago. Fresh ingredients that have a pop of flavor in every bite. The menu has a wonderful variety and from what we had it was fantastic. Customer service was amazing, great staff, from the front of the house to the back. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely if you're in the mood for sushi you must stop here, you will definitely enjoy it

We came here because of the Google reviews, and this casual Japanese restaurant did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the atmosphere lively, and Ishi’s warm service made our dinner on the outdoor terrace even more enjoyable. Great value for money. Highly recommended!

Kamehachi always nails it! Even with a shellfish allergy and not being a fan of sushi, they still have a menu with plenty of great things!
Great service from the bartender while waiting on my party to the wait staff seating and serving us at the table. Love the vegetarian gyoza!
Sushi rolls were good and flavorful but not necessarily out of the ballpark amazing. The waitress was vague in giving guidance,, which was annoying.
