Went to this bar after a friend said it was under new management, I told my friend that the bar is known to be racist and may not let us in. When I arrived with 4 of my friends the front door guy said they were not letting us in, he claimed they were at capacity. As a group we stayed outside and watched multiple people leave the bar and other more desired individuals be let in. We got the hint and ended up leaving, not upset just very disappointed. New management same ole mind set stay away!

This place has a nice name, and I don’t even know who Kelly is. And tavern, it just rolls off the tongue. I’m trying to think of a word that would rhyme with it. Cavern? That’s good, maybe. Bavern, davern, javern. Those aren’t even words. I think in an alternate universe it would be Elly’s cavern instead. But that sounds like a crude insult towards someone’s parts. Idk, good thing universes aren’t real. Anyway, I’m gonna go to bed, gn.

It's a great neighborhood bar to have some drinks before a Sox game with your friends or family have a patio area outside great place to meet for some drinks after work and come see a band on Sundays when they have them weather permitting let me just put it this way it's a great bar to come to watch any Chicago Sports and have a good time and the prices are great

This place is everything it needs and wants to be. Neighborhood bars rarely fit the bill this well.

Me and my gal stopped in to hide from the ongoing gun battle on the expressway and had a good time. A couple of pops later I was ready to go back out and run the gauntlet. I was tempted to join in the fun myself but decided against it since I left my Kevlar vest at home. Maybe next time.
