While walking down the center of the area, we almost passed this up because it looked empty but on our second pass it was starting to fill up and we decided to take a chance. Come to find out, it was the best chance taken! They are partnered with Gangnam market. You build your own rice or noodle bowl. That is one option of many. For the appetizers, we got eggrolls and spicy beef intestine. The egg rolls were good but my husband absolutely loved the intestines. He said it was the best he had in years. We both had the hand made noodles which were delicious and paired very well with both of our contrasting broths. Husband got extra spicy with crazy spicy add-on while I got a light and refreshing chicken broth. I highly recommend getting the sweet soy sauce chicken wing, and the little sausages. The barbecue pork was not fatty, but very lean. The vegetable dumplings are surprisingly delicious and delicate. I am not a big fan of the half eggs in noodle dishes, but this was a game changer and I wish I could’ve had gotten more of them. The bean curd absorbed the broth very well. (Husband liked it but I thought it was a bit bland at first) The wagyu beef wasn’t very good but not everyone can be perfect. The exterior of this restaurant is very festive with neon lights. Don’t pass up on this gem like we almost did.

I spoke with a woman who answered the phone when I called Ken Kee Restaurant to inquire if a person can BYOB (bring your own bottle of an alcoholic beverage). I was told that Ken Kee does not have a liquor license, so they do not serve alcohol nor can a person bring their own alcohol into the restaurant.

I have never sent a dish back at a restaurant until I came here. The garlic fried short rib was literally inedible, I couldn’t even chew it. The “wagyu” noodles were LITERALLY MARUCHAN RAMEN with the cheapest, grossest cut of beef I’ve ever seen. The dumplings were fine but clearly frozen. Even the rice was mushy and waterlogged at the bottom. The quality of ingredients was inexcusable for the price. I can’t recommend this place to anyone.

i really enjoyed the selection of food and the service was exceptional. we tried the congee, fish fillet, fish balls, and lo mein. i wasn’t a fan of the salt yolk crab cakes but it was just to try something new. the staff was kind enough to take back a dish that we had a miscommunication about and brought the one we wanted. the jasmine milk tea was sooooo good! reasonably priced and fun atmosphere, would come back.

beautiful restaurant with very nice staff, but unfortunately the food was not that great. the quality of the meat didn’t seem that great and some textures and tastes seemed a bit off. It wasn’t horrible, but I don’t think I would come back. Maybe their drinks and desserts are worth getting, but not the actual meals.
I had seen some not that great reviews online and didn’t believe them, but yeah it was pretty overhyped.
EDIT : I got food poisoning from eating there! Do not go. 1/5 ⭐️

Worst service I have ever experienced! Could not get anyone to take order from us even calling them for multiple times. Rediculously, the staff were not busy at all but they even looked at you when we calling them and then ignored us. After ordered our foods, it took more than 30 mins to get ice water and more than 40 mins to get our wontons and noodles.
Will Never come back.

Located right in the heart of Chinatown Square plaza, adjacent to one of the main pagodas, you'll find Ken Kee which is a perfect place to try street food inspired dishes. You can't miss the neon lights! The build-your-own cart noodles are especially addictive as are the appetizers. The chicken wings are marinated similarly to Chinese duck but are fall-apart tender.

Great lunch spot in Chinatown! Prices are extremely reasonable and good portion sizes. Highly recommend the shrimp wonton soup. Newly renovated and very clean, no wait to dine and decently quick service. We will return!

We saw an Instagram video about the afternoon tea deal at Ken Kee, so we had to try it (this was in May). There's quite a wide array of options that you can get for their weekday 2-5pm $10 for a drink and dish deal. Since we had already had lunch, we got the HK french toast and the ovaltine french toast. We also got hot milk teas. The milk tea is literally milk+tea, so you have to add any sugar yourself. I wasn't really in the mood for it -- even after adding 3 packs of sugar, it still wasn't as sweet as I would've liked (which perhaps speaks to how much sugar goes into milk teas!)
The HK french toast was not as good as the ones I have had in the past. The bread was rather dense and chewy rather than being fluffy, so it was kind of hard to get through, and the flavoring wasn't very strong on the outside.
The ovaltine french toast was really cool -- when you cut it, the condensed milk filling/topping oozes out. I thought this was much better in terms of flavor. Interestingly, it tasted a bit like peanut butter.
Overall I enjoyed the vibes of the restaurant with the neon lights and cute food illustrations on the table, but I probably wouldn't get the toasts again. I've been here many times before in the distant past to get dinner with my family, and I do have good memories (first time having egg tofu!) so I'll probably be back someday...
