I discovered KFire during the pandemic and it's been an absolute STAPLE ever since. My favorite is the spicy pork belly: flavorful with just the right amount of spice.
They're always super nice at the store and their takeout is some of the best in Logan Square. Love it!

Highly recommend getting the KFIRE Balls and Bokki “fries” - they are such flavorful and delicious appetizers. I’ve previously had a bowl and really enjoyed it.

Overall, the service is really fast and the quality of food is great. Everyone is always friendly as well.

I thought this might be a fast, casual chain at first but they are a small business with only two locations and definitely worth trying!

I ordered a takeout of their pork belly plate, but when I got home and opened the box, I found that the meat was severely burnt and inedible. I tried one or two pieces with the rice and salad, but the meat was so burnt and bitter that I couldn’t eat it.

I drove all the way back to the restaurant and asked for either a refund or a fresh plate. They refused to refund me and would only agree to recook the meat — but they wouldn’t replace the rice and side dishes, claiming I had already eaten them. As shown in the picture, I barely touched the sides, and I didn’t want to eat cold rice with the recooked meat after wasting my time driving back and forth.

I don’t understand why they were so stingy about replacing a bit of rice and vegetables when the issue was clearly their fault. Overall, the customer service was terrible and disrespectful — they treated me like I was trying to scam them rather than acknowledging that I was a paying customer with a legitimate complaint. I’m extremely disappointed and will not be returning.

Food is actually good here. I don't come often but when I order takeout I am always surprised. Pork belly this last time was cooked better than at sit-down restaurants.

I don’t care how good the food is if a business doesn’t take care of its employees. It’s 80 degrees outside and there is no air conditioning in the store. Poor employees are working in this heat, I was there for 5 minutes to get my tea and I was sweating like crazy.. business owner needs to do better!

My review is based on a delivery order. I ordered the Impossible Kalbi with rice, green onion salad, Mushrooms, and Spicy Daikon. Absolutely, delicious! The Kalbi was super flavorful and I loved the spicy daikon. Fortunately, I have gochujang at home and mixed it in with the other ingredients and it took it to the next level! I ordered a side of the kimchi (cabbage); it’s was bland compared to others I’ve had.

With all said, I’d rather KFire again.

Really good food but they forgot my desserts (4) which is forgivable, however, nobody answers the phone there

The Emerson PTO treated us to a catered lunch from KFire for Teacher Appreciation Week, and I have to say—it was hands down the best lunch I’ve had in my 15 years of teaching! Every dish was bursting with bold, authentic flavor, and the quality was outstanding. You could taste the care and craft that went into every bite. It was such a treat to enjoy a meal that was not only delicious but also thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. KFire has definitely set a new bar for school lunch catering. I’ll be dreaming about that meal for a long time!

So the food here was actually really good. It’s kind of like if Chipotle did a more Korean/Asian style bowl. The meat was very good and succulent and the kimchi and spiced cucumbers were very flavorful and mixed well with the plain white rice. Only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because the portion was quite small. The bowl I got was just under $20 and I feel like it was only like half or 3/4 the amount of food you would get in a chipotle bowl, which is far cheaper. Would like to see them increase the portions or offer a smaller bowl for cheaper and a bigger bowl for current price or small up charge

We love Kfire! We have been enjoying their Spicy Chicken since they opened the door. We switch up the dishes here and there but Spicy Chicken has been our ‘go to’ dish.

Unfortunately, the dish has gone down hill. It’s been inconsistent with the flavor. Chicken can sometimes be too dry, not cooked through, or flavorless. Same with the rice and the side dishes. The flavor profile has been off big time and unpredictable. I just wish they had quality control and went back to the way the dish was originally made.
