Great experience at Kimura! The tuna & salmon poke bowl was delicious. The chef served me up a side of sauce he had just invented and it was a flavor profile I'd never had before and was an excellent addition. The service was great and attentive. Recommended!!

I absolutely love the food here. I constantly crave the chicken katsu ramen. Literally the best thing I’ve ever had.

Excellent sushi, fresh, clean, a true hidden gem. Fried rice, miso soup, sashimi platter, their individual rolls everything is excellent!

We had been coming here for many years when we lived in Chicago. Then we moved to the South and we have not been able to find a sushi joint that holds a candle to this place. We searched for their angel roll far and wide with no avail. We are visiting Chicago after many years and Kimura did not disappoint. Rocky is the man! We will be coming back when we return to Chicago.

Disrespectful staff! When asked if there are any beef options for ramen, the waiter insinuated that I shouldn’t opt for that option as it is not good for my “condition” (referring to the breakouts on my face”

Will not be returning. Would rate 0 stars if I could!

Why food takes 30 minutes per dish for all you can eat?

The food is ok, minus the hairs I found in my food a few times and the sushi being a bit bland.

I tried out their happy hour at noon, purchasing only two rolls which totaled $27.93 for takeout. I felt the value was poor, and more importantly, the quality and taste were disappointing. After eating two pieces, as shown in the photo, the double salmon roll had salmon that seemed like a thin layer of paper placed on top (I laid them flat for a clearer view). This was quite mediocre compared to the salmon rolls I've had at other sushi places. The restaurant seemed to cut corners, offering minimal portions, and the service was subpar. I'm really disappointed with this place. It was a terrible experience, and I'm not inclined to return.

I had ramen, it was good! The server/host was kkind and patient—for food and service I would go again. The bathroom though was NOT clean, the air was unbreathable in there and the floor was sticky.

Ramen was too expensive for what it was, but not bad by any means. Probably wouldn’t eat it again when I can get a cheaper bowl in Fulton Market that’s better.
