I recently visited King of Cups and it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance is cozy, with dim lighting and stylish decor creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed evening. The cocktail menu was diverse and inventive, featuring a range of classic and signature drinks. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Our mixologist K was great. Whether you're out with friends or on a date, King of Cups is a fantastic spot to unwind. Highly recommended! Check out the pictures associated with this review and follow on IG @ifooditravel

Solid cocktails with some really interesting ones, but the service was the worst I've had at a cocktail bar. The bar is set up such that you sit at a table but go up to order at the bar. We discovered this by searching online, after being seated without any guidance and waiting 20 minutes without anyone coming over. But fair enough, I can see that approach working. When we ordered, we got a little attitude for not understanding their setup.
We ordered two rounds of cocktails. After the first round was called out (two at a time), we were one drink short. The bartender made it with no hassle. However, after the second round was also missing a drink and we brought up that it was missing, the overweight lead bartender in the Hawaiian shirt told our bartender not to make the missing drink yet, and pulled up our tab to make sure we were telling the truth. The fact he did this after being the one that forgot one of our drinks in the first round was infuriating. We finished our drinks, paid and got out of there.
The setting was really fun and I'd love to go there again to try more of the cocktails, but this experience will keep me away in the future.
My favorite bar in the city right now. Such a great atmosphere and such a kind staff. There are a ton of options nearby but if you’re planning on just chilling and having some good decent priced drinks this is your spot. Also the bartenders fashion senses were immaculate they all got their own personal style super dope.
Andy is incredibly talented. Every single time he has made a drink for us it has been 10x better than any drink I’ve had in the city. He seems hard working. If he isn’t working it bums us out. But still everyone working is fantastic. Go here, get what you think u want and you’ll like it. I promise. 100% go get drinks here

he bar itself is beautiful with a great vibe, and I really wanted to enjoy my experience here. Unfortunately, I was overcharged for drinks, which I only realized after checking my bank statement. I believe it was a miscommunication with the bartender, who also seemed annoyed with my group. As someone who has worked in the service industry, I usually don’t let that affect my impression—but in this case, it added to the overall discomfort.
I reached out about the overcharge via Instagram, email, and phone. The responses were polite and I was told I’d receive a full refund. However, despite multiple follow-ups over more than a month, no refund was ever issued.
I genuinely wanted to enjoy and support this bar—it’s a beautiful space with a lot of potential—but based on my experience, I’m hesitant to return.

Moses was a phenomenal host! He promptly sat us at a table and then kindly escorted us to Brando’s when we were ready for a change of scenery! A true gem of a human being, indeed. Will definitely be returning :)

Nice vibe and great cocktails in Lincoln Park. Fantastic, efficient service on a Saturday evening too! We got The Crown and King of the North. Both well-balanced and complex. Worth a try for a pre-dinner cocktail or a nice outdoor hang if you’re in the area.
A new low in this city: a $14 box wine pour in a beer glass, in a Royal themed mixology place
Bold, dumb and shortsighted
My friends and I went to King of Cups for the first time and the cocktails were excellent (and strong!) and the service was exceptional. We were treated like VIPs, I got the vibe that that’s just how they treat people, they really care about their customers, I will definitely be back!

We walked in on a Saturday night and it was so busy- we were about to go someplace else, but the bouncer called us back. He said we could have a booth inside for 1hr that was reserved. Idk if the people who made the reservation were late or what but it was so nice if him. The drinks were great and the vibes were impeccable! Great night :)

Hands down, top 10 atmospheres I have been exposed to in Chicago. I have lived here for over a decade. (I have also never written a review- heads up) I came when the place first opened (had reservations) NO one was there. The bartender helping -should be in finance (no offense to people in finance). So damn rude. Not friendly. He acted as if we were a bother- he took 10 min to even ask what we wanted (again the only two people inside)- then it was downhill from there. Not sure why he is in the service industry. I hope it was an off day, because the place has potential, but reading other reviews after my experience- seems like no one is making a change… one bad vibe can ruin it all and that guy is the definition of BUZZ KILL at a BAR!
