Favorite broth I’ve had in a noodle soup in Chicago so far! I feel like it was a nice solid base with just the right kick to it. I also remember quite enjoying the beef shank that I ordered (tender and spicy). There was ample seating when we came late Saturday afternoon, so an easy walk-in, which I appreciated since we were famished.

I will give this place the benefit of the doubt and give them another try, but my first experience was lackluster from the food perspective. I walked in to order food to go. I ordered the yin Yang noodles and the fried pork belly. This was based on recommendations from the very nice and friendly staff. When my noodles were ready, I realized they had forgotten the pork belly dish. They were very accommodating and made one for me. The yin Yang noodles send to be missing something. I am not sure if they missed something because this was to go. The dish is described as noodles in a mix of creamy white and black sesame sauce. I got what can be described as clumpy tasteless noodles in no sauce. Hopefully this is just a one-off fail, and the next time can be better.

Extraordinarily bad if you've ever had a decent bowl of noodles. They claim the noodles are handmade/hand pulled but I saw the noodles come out of plastic packets. They are definitely machine made or ordered from somewhere. They also overcooked them to the point they barely had any chew. Ordered the wagyu short rib and somehow they managed to make wagyu tough. All of the toppings were cold, even the wagyu short rib was not properly warmed. Ordered the level 3 spice but was just moderately spicy. Server forgot my drink and had to flag her down for utensils and the beer I ordered. Actually mad that I came here due to the high number of 5 star reviews, this place deserve no higher than a 3/5 across all reviews. I make better instant ramen at home.

Happy hour was a pleasant surprise with a few drink options and plenty of appetizers! Curry udon noodles were flavor packed and seafood was high quality. Generous portion of brisket on the scallion noodles. Helpful and friendly staff :)

The food was amazing and very fresh! Everything was yummy. The fried foods were crispy and tasty. The seafood in my seafood curry udon was amazing too. Highly recommend for people to go here! They also have happy hour everyday.
