I had ordered a cake for my moms 96th Birthday at the Palatine location. All cakes are made in Chicago. When I went to pickup the cake it did not have the requested decorations and the greeting on the cake was almost clear. The manager in Palatine said there is nothing to be done and gave me a $10 discount. I was really upset. I called the Chicago branch and talked to the baker of my cake and explained how upset i was. She was very sympathetic and understood why i was upset. I said this might be my moms last birthday so I want a cake she will remember. About an hour later the manager from Palatine called and said that the Chicago bakery will bake her a fresh cake and decorate it the way it should have looked and deliver it to me before our party was to start. I was happy I made the call and happy the baker manager in Chicago was proactive and solved the problem. I was very happy and so was my mother. Thank you very much! I would recommend the Chicago bakery in a heart beat.

The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I have been looking for piernik Haliny in Palatine after trying it a while ago. I called the Harlem location and they managed to bake and deliver just so I can purchase. Not many stores go above and beyond like this. The best piernik in Chicagoland.

every time I go there the staff goes out of their way not to acknowledge me or service me. I am not polish. however I love the authentic polish food. I hope their concerns is about the language barrier and not that I am an African American. every time a another customer has tell them to acknowledge me and that I was next. I hope the management staff will resolve this issue.

Can't you really order more donuts for people who come home from work in the afternoon? :(
I don't take a drive on Fat Thursday on my lunch break to get stale paczki that were made at least day before or earlier. I'm paying $1.99 or even $2.69 for a flavored corn starch filler out of a 1 gallon commercial food filler can, donut baked the other day, really? Disappointed. No warm, crispy outside and fluffy traditional Polish donut you would expect, plus no traces of lard in which the paczki should be deep fried. Out of 5 flavors I tasted only Tiramisu donut was fried the same day. Does jam or fruit preserve cost that much? Are you really enjoying that corn starch, you're not fooling anyone, that should be a shame for a self respecting baker to use commercial fillers like that.
I have never been to the store ever.... and to go to their website and see what they offer to customers? I've never seen the worst possible menu that a business could put up on their website. You can't read anything on their menu. I think if you want to get more business. Have a menu, print it up where you could see it on the website. Otherwise I don't know if it's even worth coming to the store. That's just my suggestion to you. I hope you take it seriously and do something about it.
