I had ordered a cake for my moms 96th Birthday at the Palatine location. All cakes are made in Chicago. When I went to pickup the cake it did not have the requested decorations and the greeting on the cake was almost clear. The manager in Palatine said there is nothing to be done and gave me a $10 discount. I was really upset. I called the Chicago branch and talked to the baker of my cake and explained how upset i was. She was very sympathetic and understood why i was upset....
The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I have been looking for piernik Haliny in Palatine after trying it a while ago. I called the Harlem location and they managed to bake and deliver just so I can purchase. Not many stores go above and beyond like this. The best piernik in Chicagoland.
