Fantastic experience. The tasting menu, indicative of an omakase, was like experiencing a story. Beginning, middle and end. A full span of flavors, savory, sweet, acidic. Highly recommend. Plus a great selection of sake.

The food is the highlight! For the most part, every dish we ordered was great. The highlights for us were the tenderloin w/brussels, miso glazed cod, lobster croquette w/curry, and the salmon skin hand roll. The matcha ebi bites were a miss for us and the oysters left much to be desired since some weren’t fresh and the flavors didn’t really do much. The croquette served with the tenderloin was great texturally, but the marshmallow was a miss. It made the dish too sweet because the sauce on the steak and Brussels is already sweet. The front of the house was a little chaotic. We arrived at the time of our reservation and there were 3 groups waiting to be helped. The hostess was disheveled and had a bit of an anxious energy which made us feel uneasy like we were in the way. But there’s no where else to stand so it was a little awkward. The complimentary sake was a nice touch though.

Delicious food and extraordinary service. We arrived an hour earlier than expected and they were able to squeeze us in. The waitress also provided amazing recommendations that we normally would not have tried! Especially the edamame spread. Will definitely come back for future occasions.

Absolutely wonderful. From the decor, food, and service, everything was spectacular. A big shot out to Peyton, our server, she was more than accommodating. The chef checked in on our meals. We did the 8 course tasting menu which I highly recommend. Will be coming back again and again.

Our dinner was incredible - this is now my boyfriend and my favorite restaurant in the city, and we agreed it was one of the best restaurants we've been to in the world. The service was incredible, they were so attentive and careful with my allergies, and the room was beautiful and calm and quiet even though every table was taken. This is officially our special occasion celebration spot!

The staff was great, but the food was not. My wife and I tried the 8 course tasting menu and neither of us were impressed by any dish we were served. The biggest disappointment was the nigiri. I love sushi, but the fish that was served to us felt like it had been sitting out and was NOT fresh at all. We both had stomach issues after our visit. Be careful if you choose to go to this location.Follow up: My wife and I spent the rest of the evening sick to our stomachs in our hotel room. For $500, this is completely inexcusable. Unfortunately, the scale does not allow negative stars.Update: I called the restaurant to speak to a manager who told me that they would be issuing a partial credit for our dinner. Its been two weeks and nothing. Very disapointing.

You can appreciate this. My review of last night's experienceThe evening started off great! We were greeted nicely and offered complimentary sake while we waited to be seated. The table was cozy and the lighting was perfect. Our waitress started off great, kind and attentative. Ee were having the 5 course restaurant week experience so we were excited. Both starter courses were flavored well and some of the best I've had. Around this rim our waitress asked if we'd like drinks or cocktails which we politely declined and proceeded to wait an unusually long time to receive our next course. Our 2nd course was even better tuna tartar with tempura shrimp was delightful. Our 3rd course was brought out quicker but it was incorrect so we waited a few more minutes for another Nigiri. This course was just ok not nearly as flavorful as the previous two courses. Our 4th course was a complete disappointment starting with the burned Brussel sprouts for both of our servings. They were flavored well but burned. The mushrooms were simple not something I would expect to see after the first two courses. My wife had the duck and I had the tenderloin. We both agreed that the entree lacked flavor and after such buildup we were left wanting more. I should also mention that after the 2nd course we didn't see our waitress until after the 4th. No water refill, nothing for the remainder of the Night. As for dessert, what was described was a matcha creme Brulee but what we received was more of a sweet soup? At the end of the night we were not met with our waitress but another waitress providing us with our check which we thought was a bit odd. After we left we considered the thought of coming back but decided against it. Ambiance and some courses were amazing but overall we felt a little dooped in the end. Thank you

My partner’s coworker highly recommended we go here, so we were able to get in during restaurant week and it was INCREDIBLE!!Our server Payton (sorry if I spelled it wrong ?) was the most wonderful, genuine, kind and accommodating! She helped recommend the best drinks, the Shift Relief and Hanami both sooo good!We did the 5 course restaurant week with lobster salad, tuna tartare, nigiri, duck and a special vegan dessert…everything was so flavorful and cooked to absolute perfection! Our entire experience here was so wonderful, I highly recommend you come dine here and ask for Payton! On top of our delicious meal, Payton also personally took us up to their Latin club, ESCO, through the VIP entrance and we were welcomed by dancing, latin music and good vibes! Can’t wait to return, thank you so much!!Dietary restrictions: I put in our notes that we avoid dairy and I’m allergic to mango and they were the most accommodating about it. Made us special shrimp rolls without cream cheese and a new vegan dessert!

I went for restaurant week, and I was a bit disappointed in the tenderloin but liked their nigiri. The quantity was that of a tasting type meal, the taste experience was below average.

Honestly a solid spot. Got the cheaper restaurant week menu and several cocktails - first two courses (lobster salad and spicy tuna tartar) were great. Super friendly service. Gonna go back to try more of the menu.
