This place is frickin sick. Straight up Rock and Metal. The burgers are so good. I ordered the Metallica and loved it. The buffalo sauce, blue cheese, and onions worked well. My only wish is that the burger was juicier, the patty is too lean for my liking. Still had great flavor.

Where do I even start about Kumas West Loop? As a patron of Kumas since the very beginning at Belmont what, 20 years ago.. I first came to Kuma's on Fulton 8 years ago for the burgers, beers, and music but I found so much more in those four walls. While the burgers are top notch, it's the staff here that truly kept the place alive as long as it did- the Kuma's family has been one of the most remarkable groups of individuals I have met in the Chicago hospitality industry. From the warm welcome of hosts like Devin, Karen, Steph, etc. to the genuine interactions with managers Tommy & Drew, heartfelt conversations with bartenders Elle, Blue, Aimee, Aaron, Manny, etc. when seated at the bar. For years Tommy was a welcoming face, I would come to Kuma's on Mondays all the way from the suburbs to spend time with the glorious individuals working here. Drew, the manager following Tommy, always made sure all staff & guests felt comfortable, welcomed, respected and appreciated. The countless servers & support staff- Monica, Devin, Jackson, Chris, Karen, etc., have made this place a home & whether or not we were seated in their section or at the bar they were sure to get to know us, appreciate us, and make kuma's a home not just a restaurant. I will never forget the day a fellow bar patron got handsy with. a friend of mine and Devin quickly came to her defense and made her feel safe and protected. There will never be a place quite like Kuma's West Loop, it is really sad that this team had to report to an owner that gave their team less than 24 hours notice that they were no longer employed. The closing date was announced to be November 1st and the staff was told at open on October 20th, still with scheduled shifts, that this would be the last day of operation.. 11 days premature. These employees have families to support, bills to pay, etc. and were told 11 days prior to the first of the month that they do not have a place of employment. While some were offered positions at the Belmont location and I would be proud to visit the family I have built here at the other location, I do not feel comfortable affording my income to patron a business that does not respect the livelihood of their employees. RIP Kumas West Loop, the team truly did not deserve the hands they were dealt.

I liked the food and burgers. They were perfect. But the service was not good. The waiters were polite but they made mistakes a lot. We ordered something withe bacon and without maple syrup. They put syrup but they removed bacon. They also bring one coca extra while we did not order it. Also at the end we put 18% tip but when we checked the bill at home, they put 20% tip automatically.
I liked the food and they waiters were polite and tried the fix the issues. But they mistakes were a lot.

The place was supposed to close at 9. I arrived with my boyfriend at 8:30 and they did not want to serve us. I understand that in American culture people dine early, however, fulton market is one of the most touristy places in Chicago so it seems to me that the "normative" closing time should be later. I am a tourist and my standard dining time is later. I am very sad that I was not able to dine at the place as it has been recommended numerous times.

I had one of the best burgers I’ve ever had in my whole entire life, I’m not being over dramatic if something is good, I’ll tell you it’s good. If something ain’t worth a damn I’ll tell you that too. But damn the Metallica burger with a fried egg yeah that burger was on point. I highly recommend y’all try this place out you won’t be disappointed! Thank y’all for a delicious dinner!

Great place to get a burger. I like the way they named all of their burgers and have a big variety of toppings for each burger. I had the iron maiden burger and my wife had the impossible burger.

Wondering how they have good burgers and the buns are toasted, the burgers seem frozen not hand patted and they can’t seem to produce medium well. Very underwhelming. This is not the place to come for a burger.
Oh and the cheese curds are from a bag in the freezer. The best thing I had was their ranch dressing. It’s homemade. Tasty!

When I asked the people in my life if they wanted to go to a heavy metal burger joint, they said no because they're boring and dull? Me, on the other hand, jumped at the opportunity to experience and taste something new?
The staff and even the diners were warm, kind, and friendly. Elle, my waitress, was top notch, and she did say so herself☺️
I love a creative concept and enjoyed the vibe. This is such a great place to grab a quick bite and beer by yourself or with friends.
Thank you for being one of a kind!

Took my son to a Metallica concert in Chicago and stopped by to get a Metallica burger. Neither of us actually got that one, but the Led Zeppelin was great and my son got the Slayer, a chili smothered burger. Amazing food, great atmosphere! They've got rock/metal memorabilia around, garage doors open to the street, etc. Great set up. It was perfect for a Saturday lunch with my son. Highly recommend!
