This is an amazing community shop in Englewood welcome to all. The staff is amazing and know who you are if you frequent. They treat you with care every time you visit. The place has a nice atmosphere and they host community events from time to time as well. Everything on the menu is great here from food to drinks. Definitely check it..You will thank me later.

"Kusanya Coffee is a true gem in Englewood. The moment you step inside, you're welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere with cozy furniture and large windows that make you feel right at home. The aesthetic is unique and adds to the overall charm. I've tried almost everything on their menu, and nothing has disappointed me yet. The food is beyond amazing, and the oatmeal is a must-try if you visit—seriously, it's that good!
The shop offers free Wi-Fi, spacious bathrooms, and a vibrant community board. The pastries are incredible, and the coffee is strong enough to wake you up without being overwhelming. What I love most is that this little oasis is located right in Englewood, an area where local coffee shops are hard to come by, especially on the Southwest side of Chicago. Kusanya is truly a neighborhood treasure!
Everyone I've invited to share a moment with me here loves the food, so no, I'm not biased—this place is just that good!"

Kusanya, a relaxing coffee shop/cafe, was so worth my time to travel there. The ambiance is everything I look for when I just want to chill, chat with friends, read a book and of course sip slowly on my coffee. I plan to make weekly visits there, it’s just that special. I had the baked oatmeal and berries and a superb americano. Service was prompt and so pleasant.

WARNING: make sure you grab the correct drink, you won’t know by the cup because they don’t label them, they rely 100% on calling out the drink and trusting that you grabbed the correct one, if you grab the wrong coffee, they will not make you the correct one
I walked into this place wanting to try and enjoy it, I ordered an Iced Latte, i’m told I accidentally grabbed the “honey oatmilk latte”…it’s nearly pure sugar water, not drinkable
So, I called it in hoping they could make me my ordered Iced Latte (no sugar, classic just milk and espresso) but they said I would “need to buy another one” and that they clearly called out “honey milk latte” so they asserted I grabbed the wrong drink…their word vs mine…
I think this is a customer service fail since making a new coffee costs pennies on the dollar and the milk cost is like $0.50..I told them “I accept responsibility for not hearing the appropriate name of the drink” but this is the first time ever a coffee shop has failed to remake a drink…they don’t even give me the benefit of the doubt that I really did not hear the name of the drink called out…conversely they didn’t assert that they too accept responsibility for not speaking loud enough the “Iced Latte” vs “Honey Milk Latte” + there’s no labels on the drinks!
Customer service fail for a 4.8 place

Solid community focused coffee cafe, lots of great art on the walls and hip hop playing in the background.
Coffee and solid and the muffins we got were fantastic. They also have a small selection of breakfast sandwiches available.
Incredibly affordable as well. Very much worth the drive down.
Only downside is the hours, they're not open on the weekend so you have a small early morning to lunch window to try this gem.

Great coffee, warm and welcoming staff, good place to get some work done and get to know your community better. This is by far the best coffee shop on the south side of Chicago and my favorite place in Illinois for Ethiopian coffee! They also serve food and you can get fresh roasted coffee and they will grind the beans for you.
