Ever since I visited Nakamura Ramen in NYC, Ive been struggling to find a ramen as good as theirs. Ive been all over the US to many ramen shops in Los Angeles, Chicago, and many other cities, searching for over 5 years to find a ramen ya that does it right. Kyuramen does it right. Strings and Ramen san dont compare.

Amazing place, workers are nice and friendly, location is hidden from the main tourist street and gives you a little break from the traffic. Food is great, I got the Omurice combo with Tonkatsu, it comes with a sauce of your choice as well as drink. A little pricey for me but I reaaaaally wanted to try this Japanese omelet! It tasted amazing, literally melted in my mouth. My only complaint is that rice that is underneath the omelet contains small pork or chicken pieces, I could quite understand. I wish it would be just the plain rice with no meat - but it’s only my personal taste, otherwise the texture and taste was great! Thai Iced Tee 10/10, Tonkatsu - 10/10! Def worth visiting!
We visited on Thursday at 3pm and there were minimal amount of people. Food came within 5 minutes and we were seated in a nice place :)

Exactly what I was looking for… flavorful & spicy ramen. If you like spicy ramen, you will love it. I did try the octopus balls, but unfortunately they were disappointing. They didn’t have much flavor & were really just chewy. The brown sugar bubble milk tea was delicious.

We ate the Tokyo tonkotsu shoyu ramen and it was DELICIOUS! But our favorite part was definitely the atmosphere. They nailed it!

The food itself was tasty, but the service was very disappointing. Throughout our meal, the staff were talking among themselves and they kept staring at us, which made dining very uncomfortable. When we finished and were about to leave, the staff — including someone who seemed like the manager — openly commented that we left with no tipping (my friend and i did no tipping for reasons), even making a hand gesture, loud enough for us to hear. This was extremely unprofessional and humiliating. On top of that, they were slow to handle payment because they were busy chatting in the corner. Overall, despite the good food, the staff’s behavior completely ruined the dining experience.

The food here was so yum my friends and i really liked how flavorful the ramen was and the fruit teas and matcha were also so good, minus some stars because the service was mid we got there maybe an hour before close and the servers kept rushing us which we understood but we hardly got a minute to look at the menu before the waiters came in asking if we ready every other minute which we understood since it was almost closing time but when we were paying with card we did no tip because we prefer to tip in cash and while we were taking out our cash the waitress asked “why no tip was the service bad or something” and walked away after rolling her eyes at us which in our opinion was kinda rude we still left more than an 18% tip but we were definitely a little confused of how we felt with the service at that point. overall i would eat there again since the food was pretty good just happen to have a weird experience is all.

Kyuramen x TBaar is such a fantastic spot in Downtown Chicago! The ramen is rich and flavorful, and the bubble tea is the perfect treat to go with it. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, and the staff is always welcoming and attentive.
What I love about this location is that it’s right near Premier Nails – Nail Salon Downtown Chicago. It’s so convenient to enjoy a relaxing manicure or pedicure at Premier Nails and then head over here for a delicious meal. Together, it makes for the perfect self-care and dining experience in Chicago!

Good ramen, good food, but not entirely worth the cost you'll pay. The price feels as if it's a little bit more about the ambiance of the space and the neighborhood it's located in. Staff has been great each visit, quick, attentive, kind.

Very cool looking decor. Loved the beehive style booths. Delicious food served beautifully and very attentive wait staff. They didn’t even blink when asked for a fork for our first timer. Highly recommend

The Thai tea here is AMAZING!!! (I think it’s from the boba shop next door)
The onmurice with black sauce was honestly disappointing—it was lacking flavor in the rice and sauce. I will say, I’ve had ommurice in Japan and it was my favorite thing ever, so my expectations were high
We also got popcorn chicken, it was good but nothing special
The atmosphere is so cool!
Overall, I wouldn’t come for the food, but may stop by to get a milk tea in the future👀
