I ordered my food to-go. It was ready within 10 minutes which was great. The to-go portion however is tiny. It's in a to-go container which is great for travel but doesn't allow for much broth in the cup. I'm sure this is better as dine-in.

Service was great. Super nice and attentive. The food was just okay. Ramen was good but the omurice was disappointing, not that much flavor.

Came here two Friday’s ago for a dinner with a friend as it was my first time. I definitely enjoy this restaurant and I love the ramen here better than other places in the neighborhood. The service was phenomenal and I love how everything worked smoothly.

There is nothing Japanese about this restaurant. We had gyoza, bao buns, "shrimp tempura", and miso stock from the ramen as "miso soup". The gyoza are machine made and have the filling has pulpy consistency that is fairly homogeneous, so it is hard to distinguish any flavors, and they were undercooked. The "tempura" was a heavy batter more consistent with a corn dog than a light crisp coating, and was obviously mass produced, frozen, and shipped (as were the gyoza). The 2 bao for $10 had a piece of tough pork belly in a cloying sweet sauce. There is no real miso soup or plain a la carte rice on the menu. The staff and manager were courteous but could not answer any questions about provenance, e.g., the source for their noodles. Most quality places would rave about their sources. Overall, the food was disappointing and I cannot recommend. The chap at the ramen station was doing an exceedingly great job, working quickly and cleanly, methodically, and with diligence and care. A good restaurateur would be smart to put this guy in their kitchen.

The atmosphere is great, service is excellent! The only thing that could improve would be the vegetarian options, and the dishes come hotter.

I came from Michigan to try this place and I can't stop thinking about my experience here! The atmosphere and decorations made me feel like I was in Tokyo. The ramen was full of flavor and delicious. The service was amazing. Definitely coming back next time I visit Chicago!

This was a miss for me. I feel like this is the type of place that excels at vibes, with food taking a back seat. It was boring and bland, which is a bummer because I had planned a day around my visit here. There are much better ramen and Japanese spots in Chicago, some a mere block away. Unless you are there for photos of the honeycomb interior, you’d do better to eat somewhere better.

Got to see the kitchen, everything is really clean! The honey comb booths are amazing!
The food was not very good; the bamboo shoots in the ramen were not the right texture and smelled off. I would not recommend this restaurant to vegetarians, as the vegetarian ramen was not very flavorful, and there were no other vegetarian entrees. Atmosphere was cute, and service was fine.
Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian appetizers and only one vegetarian entree

So delicious! Got the Tokyo shoyu tonkotsu with black garlic and it hit the spot. The pork buns were fluffy and perfect too. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back.

I loved the place and the food, it was delicious. The Pork Bao Bun was scrumptious, the pork dissolves in your mouth. I had the Mega Ramen, very tasty and authentic. Highly recommend if you are in Chicago and want a real Japanese Ramen!
