I stopped in for mouse cake but had the chocolate chip cookie instead. It was one of the best cookies ever. I think I'm going back tonight.
Cookie is mid and very small for six dollars! Definitely not worth the tag š¤·āāļø
Wow! Iām so glad I found this gem. I tried a few of their cakes in-house and also picked up some single origin dark chocolate barsāboth as gifts and for myself. I canāt wait to get back to Chicago so I can become a regular! I especially loved the mini bars, which make it easy to sample different chocolates for just $5 instead of committing to a full $15 bar. Such a great idea and an incredible spot overall.
Very friendly staff, above average coffee.
This is my favorite dessert shop in Chicago! Incredibly reliable for gifts (delicious and beautiful chocolate boxes), amazing cookies, cakes, and coffee! I havenāt had their hot chocolate yet but it looks delicious too. Highly recommend stopping by for a treat or gifts.
Great chocolate š« I really love chocolate
Best cookies in Chicago. Very cute store as well with Parisian shops nearby.
Coming from someone whoās had to work a chocolate shop before, this place is run beautifully. The shop recently changed managers, so take the past reviews with a grain of salt. The chocolate? INSANELY deliciousā better than Ghirardelliā and so are their drinks. The texture of the drinking chocolate is smooth, rich, and clearly created with care. Not to mention that all of their products are responsibly sourced. Itās not cheap, but you really do get the quality you pay for.
The best chocolate chip cookie Iāve had in a while!
Diabolical service. Or I should say non-existent service. The staff have ZERO interest in acknowledging customers or helping anyone but ones that are there for their cafe products. If that's the case, they might as well rebrand themselves as a cafe or coffee shop. I waited patiently as they kept serving the endless stream of people for the cafe. I let one of the staff know if I can be helped for the chocolates and she says just a minute. I wait another 5 minutes, and they continue serving new customers that have strolled in long after I've been in the store. And here I am waiting to buy supposedly luxury chocolates worth $60-70 and they have no interest in me as a customer. Do yourself a favor, and go somewhere else. The price is disproportional to the service and attitude of the staff.

Everything was very delicious, coffee was amazing as well as hot chocolate. Lemon cake was really good all the merchandise, including chocolates, hot chocolate mix, and all the sweets looked amazing and tasted good but everything for purchase is overpriced. It didnāt stop us from buying a couple of chocolate mouse candies thoughš also, it has a French door opening to a patio in the backyard. It was so cold so we couldnāt go out, but I imagine itās magical in spring and summer.
Came in earlier today and waited a good 5 minutes at the register while the guy, who I assumed was the manager, was being pretty demeaning to his all-female staff. He was just standing there, watching them and speaking to them in a way that felt uncomfortable. Canāt imagine working in an environment like that.
I asked for standard drinks such as a vanilla latte and flat white and a staff member said āthis is not Starbucks and never will be.ā I felt even with a smile that was rude and I wasnāt being particular at all. Will not be returning.
People that come here this place really specializes in chocolate - itās a chocolatier and chocolate drinks. Thatās what you should aim for when you get here. Since they donāt bake on site if just come and order their same thing from Starbucks you might be disappointed however the lattes are amazing and you must try the chocolate drinks. The rest of it is just choice of retail. Go here for chocolate go to the Belgian bakery in Gold Coast called Hendrix for fresh croissants.
Delicious and filling. The spicy drinking chocolate was soo good
