L.A. Burdick Handmade Chocolates

If you love hot chocolate as much as I do, you’re going to love this place. I went in today and was very impressed, not only by the creamy, rich, warm milk hot chocolate, but also by how beautiful the place’s aesthetics were.

Good hot chocolate, bad service.

I found the desserts to be overpriced, not very good at all. I got 6 different desserts. The one that was the most disgusting was the hazelnut chocolate and pear mousse. I found the texture to be off putting, the chocolate felt like they dont like sugar at all. Just because you can put two flavors together doesn't mean you should. Sorry but disappointed in the desserts. Didn't try any drinks.

It's my favorite place in Chicago. It's the coziest loveliest place! The highlight of this place are the candies. Each one is a piece of art visually and culinary. I'm absolutely in love with this place.

A group of three was able to easily find a spot to sit and enjoy our hot chocolates on a chilly week day. A little overpriced but too be expected.

Loved the pear & hazelnut mousse, small dark hot chocolate, and steamed milk with honey.

Previously, I had good experiences with their cakes and chocolates, but the quality is not there.

I visited a few days ago and had two cakes and both were extremely dried out. Not sure how long those had been sitting in the case, but at 2 PM, it felt like I was eating well-flavored styrofoam.

Extremely disappointing.

Always a treat to make it for a hot chocolate, chai latte, or white chocolate raspberry cookie. Their cookie is one of my favorites in the city

Amazing cakes and drinks , yet the best was the smile and the kindness of the employees , especially Ammar ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ who made it a great experiance for us. We started thinking of inviting our family and friends to the place for the great experiance that we want them to have.

Where do I even begin! The Venezuelan hot chocolate was amazing! We sat and enjoyed a cup. And left with a few chocolates for the road

Top 3 in best croissants in Chicago!

I visited L.A. Burdick after seeing so much about their place online. The caramel hot latte was nice but had a slightly odd taste, just my opinion. The server wasn't overly friendly either which was disappointing considering the prices you're paying, this was just my experience in comparison to visiting other coffee shops nearby - still would recommend going!
