Found this place at my lunch break. Has little cute things for purchase

I'm always looking for great drinking hot chocolate, and I found the place! Super cute, great vibe, and awesome milk drinking chocolate. Not too sweet or too heavy yet much more elevated than a regular hot coco.

Such a cute and delicious cafe! I ordered a coconut chocolate cake, an espresso/ mocha cake, a ginger cake, a caramel latte, and a summer drink. They were all so good, you can’t go wrong with any bakery item or drink. We also got a chocolate bar that was so rich and delicious. The seating area was very clean and the employees were very nice and helpful!

Everything tasted sour. I'm not sure if that's some fancy chocolatier thing that I just don't get but I didn't trust it to finish it. I tried their classic cookie and a chocolate mouse.

I stopped by LA Burdick hoping to try their caramel latte, but they were out. The staff recommended the mocha latte instead and wow, I’m so glad they did. It was seriously the best mocha latte I’ve ever had. So rich and smooth, worth the $8.
I also tried the chocolate chip cookie. Texture wise, it was on point (crunchy edges with a soft center) but it wasn’t sweet which threw me off a bit. I’ll definitely try a different dessert next time. The seating area is cute and cozy. I’ll be back!

I absolutely adore L.A. Burdick 🍫 ☕️ ✨ I recently discovered this location a few years ago when I was visiting the city and fell in love. If you want quality coffee and pastries, you’ve found the place. I will be dreaming about this almond croissant!! 🥐

Great place to get an espresso and chocolate in the afternoon! Lovely seating area, decent bathroom (down a staircase).

I stopped by for an afternoon pick-me-up and absolutely loved it! The raspberry chocolate chip cookie was incredibly soft, with just the right balance of sweet and tart, and paired perfectly with my espresso. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. This spot is excellent for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing afternoon, espresso, coffee, and a delicious treat. I highly recommend it!

Hot chocolate was one of the best I’ve ever had

Charming place with kind service, but limited summer options.
The shop is beautiful and the staff were very friendly, they kindly made me a cold chocolate shake even though it’s not on the menu.
Still, it was a bit underwhelming, and it’s disappointing that they don’t offer cold drinks by default in the summer.

A must visit chocolate place in Chicago .. love their dark chocolate drink .

I’m visiting Chicago and came across this beautiful spot — everything from the coffee to the chocolate and pastries was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, but what made the experience even better was Raily. She was so kind and welcoming, and even took the time to give me great suggestions for places to visit in the city.

Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting or living in Chicago.
