TLDR: Loved this spot, probably now our new go to neighborhood Mexican restaurant! Perfect spicy salsas and great vegetarian options! Although we are picky with our Mexican food out here since we used to eat at a ton of authentic spots back in California, we felt Biznaga was super tasty and will definitely be back! The salsa is especially AMAZING!! My partner order chicken quesadillas which he said were great but he especially loved the beans and salsa as well. I got the veggie burrito which I also really loved. Being a vegetarian I'm often skeptical of what the veggie options will be but this place looks like it had a ton to choose from and the veggie burrito was exactly what I wanted. Next time I'm hopeful they'll have some tamales and want to try the vegetarian tacos too!

Food just isn't very good. Dry tortillas. Chicken in chicken tacos were dry with this strange almost fishy sauce. Horchata was way too sugary, not enough spice. Friendly if inattentive service. Not sure why rated so high

Very good food. Friendly staff, pleasant environment and music. Salsa is unique and served warm, which I like. It's BYOB, cold beer attractively priced is next door at the Jewell store!

The food was a little disappointing. I guess we were both expecting something fantastic because of the 5/5 on Yelp but we were both unhappy. First off, barely any options for non meat eaters or pescatarians. Right of the bat it was hard for me to find someone appealing. I guess the portions were pretty big but we did not finish them so whatever. My bf stake was overcooked and the beans and rice were under seasoned. The cheese enchiladas were overall decent but nothing special and the tacos were not tasty at all. I don't think that we will go there again. We have definitely had a lot better tacos and overall Mexican cuisine in the city....

I have ordered delivery from La Biznaga several times and the food is always delicious. There's no mistaking the taste of homemade tortillas and food that's made with some love. The flavors are ridiculous! I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in. I just had the BEST shrimp taco I have ever tasted. Simple, fresh and made me mad that I didn't pick up 2 of them. Their green tomatillo sauce has been an addiction of mine for months. It's next to perfection. I get the 12 oz cup and use it on everything from eggs, grilled cheese and grilled seafood. The only room for improvement is with their chips. They are not good at all. Dense and greasy with a tough texture. If they could figure out a way to make them thinner and crispier, I would eat there every day. Other than that, other than continuing to expand on an awesome menu, please don't change anything!!

Carne asada tacos had flavor. Salsas brought out that flavor more. Horchata tasted good, not too sweet or bland and right consistency.

Omg why haven't I been here sooner? A craving for tacos led us to La Biznaga 2 and we are so happy they're within walking distance. We did takeout - inside is cheerful and bustling. Ordering was easy with menus at the register. Our big takeout order was ready quickly, despite wrapping up the dinner rush. Tacos are excellent. They're huge, so I had leftovers after I ordered expecting tiny street taco size. The chips and queso are different from any other Mexican restaurants' I've had. It's more stringy and solid than liquid-y and it takes like pure Oaxaca cheese- not at all spicy or with vegetables in the cheese. Not all bad! The salsas make it up with plenty of spice! My partner's meat lovers burrito was giant - he said it was a little salty but otherwise great. I wouldn't hesitate to order takeout again and would happy dine BYOB another time. I'm a year-ish late, but a warm welcome to the neighborhood, La Biznaga!

Delicious taco! I had the steak and the birria tacos. I would definitely recommend this place. The inside has a small dining area when you walk in ,but a larger dining room further in for larger groups. Be careful with the salsa I don't know if I was having a weak day, but it hit me hard and not right away, but when it did woah.

My partner and I really like this place! The service was warm, the space wasn't crowded, and the food came out fast. Tacos run you around $3.50-$4, which is on the pricier side, but these aren't street taco sized and you're also dining in lakeview. We ordered the Special Shrimp taco and Chile Relleno taco, and Chicken enchiladas. Most places don't fry the tortilla properly before rolling the enchiladas, but I appreciated that ours came with a nice saucy crust, which made the dish that much better. Our tacos also came out piping hot and I was full from two. When I go back, I think I'll stick to the shrimp and maybe one of the special meat options. The Chile Relleno taco was basically just a taco with a flattened Chile Relleno on top. Not sure if it's flattened because it was reheated, but usually if it's fried to order the coating should be light and airy. The real star of the show though, is their green salsa, which I'm obsessed with. My partner liked the other chunky salsa which was served hot (temperature wise). Overall, great place to stop by!

Out "go to" for takeout Mexican in the neighborhood. Top notch, traditional tacos, but have not had anything on the menu we didn't enjoy during one of our past 10+ visits.

Really cute neighbourhood restaurant with some great food! We got a few varieties of tacos, and a burrito. The server gave us some chips and salsa too. It's BYOB - I mean what else can you ask for?! The burrito was so filing and just yum. Our server was the nicest too. Prices are very reasonable. I cannot wait to go back!

Happy Cinco de Mayo! To celebrate, we stopped by La Biznaga 2 for some tacos. My friend and I stopped there at 6PM. The interior was small and only had a few tables. The other room appeared to have a private event going on? It felt like they could've put more tables in there and seated people. By the time we left around 7pm it was super busy in the restaurant. Our server was friendly and never too far away if you needed something. The food also came out fairly quick. We were in and out of La Biznaga within an hour. Our food was pretty good! My steak taco was a little too salty for my taste, but the chicken taco was perfect! They came very filled and with 2 tortillas per taco (corn is the default), I felt happy with my 2 taco order and was full without being uncomfortable. There are 2 sauces that come on the table: we were told the red sauce is SPICY and the green sauce was a little spicy but looks like an avocado crema? Throw this on for some extra flavor! The price: AMAZING!!! We got FOUR tacos for $16.54 and were both full. A pretty unbeatable deal if you ask me. Overall La Biznaga was good and I'd definitely go back again. Until next time!

AMAZING ELOTES! Very authentic and the shrimp taco is pretty good with the green salsa

Incredible food for an incredible price! I ordered 3 tacos (chicken, steak, and cow tongue) and chicken quesadillas. All were delicious! They were not stingy at all on the meat or toppings, including avocado, which sooo many places are. Will be ordering from here again very, very soon! Definitely recommend!
