Great arroz con gondules. Plaintain cooked crisp with garlic. Plenty of bread and butter for table. PORK CHOP TASTY but thin and dry. JIBARITO meat was fresh.The service is just plain horrendous you can order in english or spanish and they wont understand you. One of the bus boy came from back and smelled like he smoked a sack of weeds. I recommend the take out if you are in a rush. On weekends large family squeeze into seating area causing a long wait to be seated just be aware...
On my visit to Chicago for the P.R festival my cousin wanted to take me for lunch so we hit up this spot and I must say it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic a 10/10 the art on the walls is amazing the tables are amazing. The waitress was very friendly and sweet. Food was made to order and came to us hot and tasty. Recommend to anyone who loves Puerto Rican cuisine and for any first timers you’ll love it.

Finally came back after many years! They must have gotten a new chef or he learned some new tricks, whatever they did gets two thumbs up. Went with the family and the puerto rican rice was pretty good to my mom who I deem the puerto rican rice queen so that says a lot. Their bistec had a nice flavor and the alcapurrias were really good without being overly greasy. The wait staff were very patient and professional. Definitely coming back the next time I am craving some good puerto...
