Even thou we arrived 30 mins before closing time we were still served. The server just kept telling us even though you ladies are late we are going to serve you continually and that has bothered us and Sat at the table to take our orders. The food was great and we were able to order drinks which were very delicious. I would come back. This was my second time there.

Really, really good food. I had the camarones al mojo de ajo in the diabla sauce. So yummy! Hot enough to make my eyes water, but not so hot I couldn’t eat it. In other words, perfect! Ask of our meals were delicious!

Me and my 4 coworkers ate here for the lunch today as this is one of the spots our weekly rotation. Today the service was terrible !!! The place was a lil crowded when we walked, as expected it was lunch time. They crammed us in the back by the drafty door at a table for 4 and added a chair. We had no elbow room, when we asked to move the server added another table instead of just moving us to a better location. It was plenty of seats ava by this time . We ate this wobbly table by a drafty door, which was very uncomfortable. The food was not good seemed rushed and thrown on the plates. The chips tasted stale they are usually warm and fresh. My co workers food was super greasy like they forgot to let it drain for a few seconds before the brought it out. This was terrible experience today. We all agreed to remove this place from out lunch rotation.

Highly recommend the taco salad with ground beef! The steak burrito and pozole are awesome as well. I usually order takeout but the bar is really fun on Friday’s during happy hour. Ask the bartender about their daily drink specials. One of my go-to spots in South Loop.

DO NOT COME HERE. Tourists trying out a cool looking restaurant for late lunch near where we stayed, wish we went somewhere else. Took 10 minutes to get our waters (there were only 3 other tables in use, all had already been served food), our waiter was blatantly high (red eyes, incredibly forgetful and unhelpful, relaying information incorrectly when confronted about bad food, etc). Did I mention he was on his phone in the back the entire time and only checked on us once during our entire visit? He told us that queso was not an option to order (It was written on the menu?) but moved past it. Ordered 2 quesadillas. Food came out very quickly and hot. I bit into my quesadilla only to be slapped in the face with charcoal. Like, all I could taste was charcoal. Took another bite and to my surprise I actually found a fragment of some! Opened it up and you can see the photos for yourself. Cheese barely melted, MAYBE 10 tiny squares of steak total but they were so blatantly overcooked and rock hard that it was inedible, and the tortilla was soaked through with oil. My cohorts quesadilla was exactly the same but with shrimp and chicken as well. When I confronted the waiter, he went and told management something totally different than what I had explained (again, seemingly so high he could not recollect anything). They took the wrong thing off the bill. Management was rude, blunt, and unhelpful. The bartender actually ended up being decent and solving the problem instead, but only so much. I was also told by him that they weren’t at fault and that “I must’ve been taken off guard because they cook all their meat on a charcoal grill”. I cook on one at home and have never had similar issues let alone pieces of the stuff in my food. They only took off one quesadilla and we still payed almost $50 with tip. Incredibly disappointing service, food quality, and care for customers. Would not recommend this to anyone who is looking for decent mexican food in this area and will absolutely never be returning.

Their vegetarian mini chimichnagas are so yummy and fun to eat. We've been here 4 times in the last two months since we discovered it. But they also have other great options for food, and are vegetarian friendly. Their avocado appetizer was actually really good as well, coming from someone who only eats avocado occasionally.

I love their lunch specials! Their food is always great. I enjoy the vegan options on days I want to eat a little healthier. The food is ready when I arrive and the staff are friendly. Now I understand why they're always packed! :)
