Unreal how good this place is
The only place I've been in Chicago that the Pastor tacos taste like those in Mexico City!

I didn’t want to review this place because I want to keep it a close held secret. The bean basket tacos and campechano tacos are the best in town and far beyond. The hot sauce is amazing. When I eat here, I eat in complete silence. It is that good!

There’s no shortage of Mexican spots in Chicago, but finding traditional, reasonably priced tacos isn’t always easy. This place pops up in my social media feeds a lot and finally made the time to check it out.
No-frills, well-portioned, and seriously tasty food. We tried a mix of tacos—asada, al pastor, campechano, and cecina—and each one was flavorful and satisfying. The salsas brought the right level of heat and depth, and the grilled cebollitas were a great side to round things out.
Drinks-wise, the horchata was creamy and refreshing, and the mango licuado was a fun, fruity treat.
Overall, it’s the kind of spot I’ll come back to—authentic, affordable, and delicious. Highly recommend if you’re craving classic tacos done right.

Outstanding. The horchata and tepache were delicious. The tripas and cabeza tacos are fantastic. Can't wait to come back next time we're in town. Not cheap, but neither is keeping a business open in Chicago.
great food , and great service

I was really excited to try this place, but was very disappointed not at the food, to me the tacos were really good, except canasta tacos they were tasteless. You wonder why one star? One star, because service was baddd, we order an Horchata for my daughter, tasted like milk it was overdue, I told the lady about it, and some other lady was bitching about it saying that the water was all good, and that we just didn’t like it. Trust me lady, Horchata’s milk was overdue due or it was left outside for a while and the heat made it bad… to be honest I didn’t like their reaction….
Fantastic tacos, I liked the asada and pastor!

A friend wanted to meet up to eat here and I’ve never heard of this place so I’m like cool that’s fine.
She waited for me for a few minutes, more or less about 5 minutes.
When I got there the waitress asked if we were ready to order because my friend was waiting for a long time (which she wasn’t but okay??)
We put in our order and she said it’ll be a long wait for our food ( which it wasn’t but okay) as we ate we saw there was a lot of people waiting which I get since it’s a small place. Then at the end I asked for two tacos to go, and again she said it’ll be a long wait ( and again it wasn’t). Then she told us to wait on the side for our food so that the next customers could sit where we were, this is what I disliked the most and I could understand maybe I’m just being picky or bratty but no other place has ever kicked us from our seats for any reason. Idk what this place is known for to have a lot of clientele, food was fine and average so idk what’s the big deal, the waitress/service the whole time rubbed me the wrong way. Idk if it’s because it was just two of us and didn’t care much for our business vs the big table next to us with a much nicer waitress. I have no desire to return to dine in. If someone really wants I’d recommend to just take out because it seems they really want your money and to get out asap.

Exceptional. Wide variety of hot foods. Kinda small inside but that makes it a little more personal 👍🏽

They were actually pretty good tacos! I had cecina and tripas. The cecina was my favorite. I loved that the has radishes and JUICY limes at the table. Im tired of getting two little pieces that have two drops of limes and no radishes. I also loved that they have cebollitas and chiles asados as a side!
I was disappointed at the small size of the tacos. I am always disappointed when my tacos are small though.
I personally was not a huge fan of their sauces. I like the more traditional salsa verde and salsa roja.
But over all, pretty good tacos.

Came in on a warm Tuesday evening, ordered 1 lengua 1 cabeza tacos and a strawberry fresca. Tacos are pretty small, lengua was good but just one big sliced piece they don't chop it up cabeza was dry and tasted old. strawberry water was refreshing they charge extra for lime and salsa and I was still hungry after I spent $14 on those petite tacos 😁 FYI: in the back they sell candles and idols if you're into Santeria and crystal balls, cuidado amigos.
