The den had a lot of smell from poorly washed meat, it had a very strong flavor and the people to whom I brought the food did not like it.

I ordered seco de gallina (chicken hen stew) and it was one small bad-quality chicken thigh with a ton of rice (cheapest ingredient) and one plantain. No soup/stew at all. Flavorless. Disappointed because I love Ecuadorian / Peruvian food.
The food probably cost them $2 total yet I paid $15... I threw it away since it was so bad.
Typical Ecuadorian food, very tasty, I recommend it ??

Felt like you were at someone’s house. The thin steak and fish were both excellent! Something about the salad dressing is special too. Very pure and fresh ingredients.
Food was not the greatest at all. Very small portions. The encebollado was not authentic at all. Very weird and strange taste not at all like any encebollado I’ve had. The bistec with beans and rice was very smelly like it had been rotten and cooked anyways. Not recommended.

Restaurantji Recommends
A moment ago we were there and they told us that there was a special of the day which was not true because they did not bring another meal that was not as good, in addition we asked for an egg side and an appetizer that never arrived ?

The food is too salty and too little for what it costs, lousy, I don't recommend it.

Great Ecuadorian food, I ordered a menestra con carne, bolon de verde mixto, empanadas y jugo de maracuyá. Small little place but waitress was pleasant and the food was pretty delicious. The aji was fire. The waitress recommended the chaulafan but I will have to try it next time.
Amazing and most authentic Ecuadorian food in Chicago. I give it a 5 star because the atmosphere is very humble and pleasant. The only con if this place, you’ll be waiting 20-30 minutes for your food.
