Staff so pretentious and moody that I’m left wondering where do you even find people like this? A comical trope that’s lowkey rare to see today and doesn’t really exist at “artisanal” coffee shops anymore. You work at a mid mainstream coffee chain, cut the attitude it makes you look like a weirdo.

Thank you for handing out free coffee cans at the No Kings protest! I buy coffee cans from you regularly bc of the awesome quality!

It's a national chain that's pretending to be a neighborhood place. Staff aren't even pretending to care. Nice concrete echo chamber atmosphere. More dumb, annoying and expensive than charming or remotely good.
Atmosphere: I gave 4 stars, just because too many customers use the space for phone calls and Zoom meetings, creating excess noise.
Service: I gave 4 stars. The service is always efficient, which I appreciate. However, some of the baristas often bring their bad moods or negative attitudes about whatever to work with them, which makes them seem unfriendly, as if customers are a bother.
Otherwise, the coffee is delicious, and the pastries are excellent! (Much better than Starbucks!)

Great coffee, pastries, and lots of space for seating. Good location to grab a cup and work remotely or relax.

Went in the first time and got a coffee medium roast and by far this is 1 thousand times better then the big chain coffee shops.

Decent city coffee shop with good service. Venue was clean and up to date. Location was slightly difficult to get to but not terrible.

Bright corner bean-tavern that's 40% standing tables and has good coffee. Landed here for a bit after a long journey and was met with a relaxing atmosphere. It seems popular so you might need to fight for a seat

staff are rude. cashier didn't even say hello when I walked up, just stared at me until I said something. muffins are like trying to eat a sandcastle, they just fall apart when you touch them. I work in coffeeshops in andersonville alot and know all of them, la colombe is my second-least favorite; only the understudy is worse. (we don't mention Starbucks, I never go there.) colectivo is the best; nicest staff, best food, and good seasonal specials on drinks. Huge space at la columbe but way too few seats and a good portion of the tables are stand up tables with no stools - at least give people the OPTION to sit. staff at la columbe seem annoyed you're there. that may fly in Williamsburg but this is Chicago tyvm. I hate this place so much lmaoooo

This is a coffee shop in andersonville in Chicago Illinois. Typical offerings and a little pricey for my senior budget.
The not cocoa was not very good.

La Columbe can do no wrong. Go for the black and tan with a side of Canelés for a perfect pick-me-up!

The staff are generally unfriendly at all locations I’ve been to, which I usually overlook because of the good coffee. I’ve seen baristas lose patience with people trying to order when English is not their first language. I understand when places are busy, it can be hard to deal with customers but this was not the case today.
I asked a question about the pastries and the three baristas laughed at me amongst themselves. There is really no need to be condescending to customers, as I see is a common experience from other reviews here. You could also consider labeling the pastries so that baristas don’t need to entertain questions they might think are beneath them to answer. Although the coffee is good and pastry was fine, I cannot recommend this place based on their attitude towards customers.

I felt compelled to leave a review since there's so many coffee options here to choose from...this one is ok. The coffee is great however the service is never that good. Like baristas visibly scowling and looking miserable. I get that you can't fake it every day but why is it this bad at this particular place? Idk.
