Get transported to a tiny French cafe at the northern end of Lincoln Park.
We were delighted to see that La Creperie, which has been around since 1972 but closed for a few years, is back and just as charming as ever.
Occupying a long narrow space mid block, the cafe is filled with furnishing and artwork reminiscent of a tiny Bistro in France.
The menu includes salads as well as a variety of savory and sweet crepes.
We opted for one of each, the ratatouille crepe and a lemon crepe. Both were delicious and held true to their pre closure standard.
There are several wine pots available, as well as tea, coffee, and espresso drinks

This is such a cute spot settled in a busy area! They have a good menu of crepes, a little pricy but it’s a specialty food in a nice area. The Nutella crepe was very good but a new style of crepe for me as I’m used to the fluffy kind this was solid and crunchy but good!! No wait to be seated and we were able to sit in the garden - but bring bug spray in the summer because I got bit 😅 Overall a cute spot to get your sweet or savory crepe fix!

I love this restaurant and have been coming for years. It is cozy and quaint and just a special place. The food is always good (if you don't like crepes, there are a few non-crepe dishes, but I've never tried them) with a nice variety of options (vegetarian/seafood/chicken/beef). Decent wine list. I usually get the Nutella crepe for dessert, but be sure to ask for a steak knife to make it easier to cut through the crispy goodness. When the weather is nice, definitely try to get a seat in the backyard patio area. It is a calm, secluded area, unlike the usual Chicago sidewalk setups that leave you staring at car exhausts. The owner is often there, and it's great to get a chance to say hi. The service is always great without being 'fancy.' Just a lovely little neighborhood place with a French bistro feel, that I keep going to even though I no longer live anywhere near the neighborhood.

I have dreams about the delicious epinards crème crepe from La Crêperie! I’ve also tried several other sweet and savory crepes which have all been great. This restaurant is very cozy on the inside and the garden area in the back is also cute when it is nice outside. Highly recommend visiting!

My curry chicken crepe was quite tasty. And I thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate crepe; I added some caramel and ice cream, which really set it off. And our server was kind and helpful. I've been here before and look forward to returning.

30+ years in business. Best crepes in the area. Salad Nicoise is my favorite. Delicious wine selection.

An amazing opportunity to enjoy savory or sweet crepes. For anyone who doesn't like crepes, there are a few classic French dishes. Restaurant is small, although the seating in the back of restaurant is decent size and they have an outdoor patio for good weather so highly recommend calling for a reservation if you are going for dinner. This restaurant was a 30 minute drive for me, but it was worth the travel

Dining that leans towards experience.
Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but you shouldn't go here, if you are hungry or you want to get a fancy meal. Crêpes are basic. You can try a few flavours, but none of those are exciting. Suzette á la Germain were fine, but it was just a thin pancake with orange syrup.
On the other hand, going here for the experience could make for a nice date. Try some snails (Escargots), get some wine, maybe a selection of cheese, and bam you could pretend like you are in a tiny french restaurant Brittany. Go get the onion soup (Soupe a l'oignon gratinée), look at all the posters, listen to some music, discuss Derrida or Foucault, and how Truffaut redefined the cinema.
Reservations are highly recommended. Always ask for the area at the back.

Delicious and charming. The "complete" (crepe with eggs, ham) served with bacon and potatoes is served until 4pm on weekends. My daughter loved her chocolate crepe as well - real chocolate.
I had the Croque Madame with hot chocolate, and both were delicious and highly recommended!
Next time, I’ll try the steak frites. I finished my meal with the La Cacahuète crepe, filled with peanut butter, chocolate, and bananas. It was the perfect sweet ending. The service was also good!”
