By far the best bread in Chicago. This boulangerie feels like a little piece of France tucked into the city. From the warm bonjour that greets you to the smell of fresh bread that fills the air, everything here feels genuine and inviting. The pastries are delicate and perfectly flaky, and the breads have that golden crust with a soft, airy interior. The smell of bread alone warms my soul. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down, sip your coffee, and just enjoy being there. A true gem and easily my favorite bakery in Chicago.

Everything I’ve ordered from this French bakery has been excellent, but I highly recommend the chocolate pound cake slices. While pound cake can sometimes be dry, their slices will melt in your mouth! Baked to perfection! Add berries and some whipped cream when you get home and you’ll have a wonderful dessert. 😜

The Vegetable quiche was the best we've ever had. Also the most unique. Very buttery crust and the vegetables (celery, onion, carrot, zucchini) give it this delicious thanksgiving stuffing aroma (probably a little sage in there too). Perfect texture on the filling and crisp all around
Best quiche I've ever had! 10/10 would recommend. They also have great croissants. Will be back for more
Excellent service, excellent croissant! Very good coconut macaroon, light and crisp. The madeleines we're not for me, too soft and flavor not on point. The quiche was also surprisingly strange. It was a rectangle slice from a sheet pan and had no height. Seems like a solid bread/croissant bakery overall.

Very friendly with great food and a great atmosphere
One of my favorite little French bakeries in the area. Never disappoints.
Such a cute little cafe with great tasting pastries. They are not overly sugary just the perfect amount. People who work there are nice and friendly. They even greet in you French 🇫🇷 Highly recommend it if you want fresh baked goods.
Twice I have ordered a chocolate croissant, only to find a small chunk of undissolved chocolate in the croissant, unmelted. Both times I brought it to the cashiers attention and it was shrugged off. Very disappointing.

Le Fournette is a local favorite among the French community in Chicago, and although pretty much everything here is delicious, what stands out most to me are its amazing beignets. Plain or with raspberry filling are the best in my opinion.
This is the real deal French patisserie, staff even speak French in the background. That’s how you know it’s authentic. I ordered an amazing almond croissant, best I’ve had in Chicago. It’s clear they use quality ingredients they’ve put a lot of thought into. Fast service, didn’t wait long to get my order. They had good looking baguettes I wish I could’ve tried, maybe next time. Overall I definitely recommend La Fournette, worth a visit.
