It was lovely a beautiful restaurant, we had lunch and seated by open window it was perfect . I always love coming here a little bit of Paris in Chicago .
Honestly the food was not as expected, I had the mustard mussels, with a piece of french bread (not very fresh). The mussels were small and the sauce was far too acidic, there was no trace of mustard in the sauce and it was too watery. The restaurant was nice, very french bistro style, the service was ok and the price was a bit high for the quantity of the food. Also the French fries were too mushy. My friend had the flat iron steak, she asked for a rare steak, she got it medium rare instead. The complimentary dessert for her birthday (profiteroles) was appreciated and was good. Overall, not really memorable.
The food was just okay, nothing memorable. The dining room is very loud, even when only partially filled.
Everything was great. But we really like dining upstairs! And it was closed again last night! Downstairs is just a bit too casual for us. We like having options. We much prefer to dine upstairs.
The chef stopped by our table before dinner to introduce himself, which was a nice touch. He also sent out a dessert as a courtesy, which was a great way to end the already tremendous dinner. We would definitely recommend this restaurant because everything we tried was top-notch.
The dry-aged NY strip unfortunately missed the mark. The steak was overly fibrous and gray throughout, with large pockets of fat that hadn't rendered properly—tough and chewy rather than rich and melty. It tasted like it may have been overcooked or not well-trimmed before aging. I'm a fan of dry-aged beef when it's done right, but this just wasn't it.
My time at boucherie was amazing!! Food came out fast, it was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Our server Kyle and the manager Matt took great care of us, we will definitely be back again!!
It was great, food was amazing, the vibe was great too, the waiter was good too. But I was kinda bummed that there was a piano there but no one playing it (love piano music)
Excellent food. Decent interior. Had a dinner with my wife. Escargot, steak Tartare- all delicious french classics. Broiled Branzino is a must have - just be prepared it's a whole fish with bones out.
We went for lunch and had a reservation for 11:30 -their website said they opened at 11. When we got there, the host said their opening time had changed to 12 and we were notified. I had made the reservation and was not notified. Another issue: I had searched for ADA compliant restaurants, and they were, but not very well. Neither the doors to enter the restaurant or the door to the toilet had the button to push so it would automatically open. I am using a walker and the toilet door was heavy. The food and service were good but these two issues make me not want to return.

Visited for a late lunch and appreciated the calm atmosphere, as it was quiet past 2 PM. The ambiance was inviting and relaxed. I ordered the steak and eggs, and the steak was cooked exactly to my preference. I also tried the wagyu burger, which was flavorful and well-executed. The French Martini was a highlight—fruity, refreshing, and perfect for the warm day. The head chef came by for a brief chat after our meal. Overall service was excellent and food was great.
The restaurant is beautiful and the meals were very good. We were disappointed in the cheese and charcuterie for the value. We've eaten at other high end restaurants where the boards have more portions and larger variety. We were also disappointed that there was no gluten free bread or crackers to go with the boards. In this day and age, a minimum of gluten free crackers is easily accommodated.
My first time at this restaurant and it was magical for brunch. Windows open and the ambiance was beautiful and food devine. I loved every moment.
First off, I arrived early and planned to grab a drink at the bar. With almost 30 minutes to wait for my friend, I only had a drink for 10 of those minutes because the service was so slow at the bar, and it took forever for the bartender to finally take my order. (Note that there were plenty of open stools at the bar, and it was not terribly crowded.) Once seated, we were at a two-top, which was far too small to accommodate anything beyond drinks. This made the entire experience rather awkward and uncomfortable to say the least. We started with glasses of Rose and Sancerre, the Shrimp and the Fromage Board. The 4 shrimp were good, and a decent size. The cheese was fine, very small portions, but the bread served with it was so tough that it almost couldn't be torn apart. Having to man-handle the entire loaf to tear off a piece was unappetizing and awkward. (There's that word again!) My friend had the Steak Frites with the Flat Iron Steak, and I had the Seared Scallops. The steak was ordered medium-well but came out medium rare. My friend barely touched the steak that was too red for her to eat. Unfortunately, our server, who was nice enough, never bothered to stop by and ask us how our food was. My scallops were fine, but rather small. We also shared the Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese, and we ended with the Creme Brulee which was quite good, but it didn't make up for the entire meal. Overall, it was a somewhat disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a birthday celebration. I'm not sure I would return other than for a discounted experience during Happy Hour, as that seems to be more in line with the experience and value that this restaurant is capable of.
Waiter was very good. All his recommendations were excellent. Gave us complimentary champagne to help us celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary.
