This place is great and don’t take my recent experience by not trying it but as for the selection of deserts, which they have been known for, it has gone down. Both floors of the restaurant / store is still worth checking out and all the food is top notch!
Ok food -- didn't deliver two things that we asked for -- we were in a hurry and bill came with extra item on it (not even one of the missed items). Server did a good job of rectifying the situation, but it was unfortunately not a good overall experience.

Always come to Eataly in Chicago when visiting from California. Was in the mood for a Neapolitan pizza. Sat at the bar and chatted up the Pizzaiol (master pizza chef) Simone. Simone moved to Chicago from Italy and has been with Eataly since its opening in 2013. He makes a delectable pizza and is a wealth of knowledge about the restaurant and Italy.
