“I recently dined at La Perla, and it was an absolutely excellent experience from start to finish. The prices were reasonable, especially given the high quality of the food. Every dish was perfectly prepared, fresh, and bursting with flavor. The drinks were equally impressive—well-crafted and paired wonderfully with the meal.
The service was impeccable; our waiter was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. The environment was warm and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. last, but not least, we met the chef He came out and gave us a warm welcome. That was the topping on the icing.
I highly recommend La Perla to anyone looking for a standout restaurant that truly delivers on all fronts!”
Found La Perla on AppleMaps after seeing a show at a theater around the corner. The menu looked fantastic. Sea bass immediately caught my eye.
My wife, daughter and I made reservation. We were immediately warmly welcomed and seated. Our waiter was great and a fantastic example of how a server should behave: friendly, helpful and without delay.
The food arrived in masterful presentation and was as delicious as it looked. Sea bass for me. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and a very interesting and tasty mushroom.
My wife was very pleased with her vodka pasta. My daughter’s churrasco (steak) was also very tasty. I had a couple bites.
The chef even came out and chatted with us. A very nice guy. We also talked with him about the restaurant further as we were departing. It’s only opened a few months prior.
No complaints from any of us. We were very pleased with our meals and dining experience. BUT…
…to top it off, the waiter brings us an over a top notch desert plate with chocolate lava cake and four cream cannolis—on the house!
I usually don’t take the time to write reviews but here I must. A great new high end restaurant in the Lakeview neighborhood. And very reasonably priced considering the menu items, the presentation, and the meal quality. And the service!

Great new spot in Lakeview! Super fun vibes with the decor and disco balls! The staff is super friendly. A few friends and I went for happy hour and had a great experience. Delicious drinks, empanadas, and tacos. Great quality. Will definitely be returning.

It was mine and my aunt first time going to this location. We came to celebrate my birthday. At first, we didn’t know if it was open or not because we didn’t see any people, nor waiters. But, we walked in and the waiter greeted us with a warm welcome and menu. Let me tell you the strawberry and crème tequila cocktail drink was super good. I loved it so much. We did notice the waiter was alone and she was working so hard by herself they definitely need more waiters here. Other than that the atmosphere was giving fun and cozy energy. I am definitely coming back to celebrate my aunts birthday !!

This place has the most bizarre decor and doesn't really seem to know what it wants to be. But the food is AMAZING and worth coming back for.
I almost walked past this restaurant because there isn't a lot of signage. You're blasted by blue LED lights everywhere and energetic house music that is about as loud as it could be without being annoying. It just feels tacky for a restuarant. We were here on a Tuesday at 6 pm mind you, not a weekend. The bar mostly serves cheesy cocktails and the menu seems all over the place... but once our food arrived we were shocked! We started with a delicious tuna tartare that was perfectly marinated with basalmic vinegar, which I usually don't like, and a guacamole that tasted really fresh. I had a salmon burger that was well cooked with a bunch of charred cheese and a really good bun. The fries were more like south american roasted potatoes, and were perfectly cooked, not leathery or overly salty at all. The empanadas were clearly freshly hand made and fried and had delicious fillings, and the tacos came with two delicious salsas. We also had a beet salad that was really tasty. The service was really good and the manager even came out to tell us about how the food is made.
I think if this place redid its decor a bit and elevated its bar menu it would be the best restaurant in the area, easily. But instead it feels like they are trying to be a nightclub and restaurant at the same time, which ultimately ruins the experience for me.

My daughter and son-in-law have been hounding me to go to LaPerla on Clark Street in Chicago. We, along with a toddler and a ten year old, went. From the unique home made veggie chips and guacamole to the Scallops with risotto, the tacos, and the pasta with vodka sauce we had the BEST meal. Seriously, even the mixed drinks (especially the strawberry mojito) and wine were great. We ended with the chocolate lava cake, which was incredible. As per my daughter, it’s always easy to get a table.

My boyfriend took me out for dinner. As soon as I walked in, I loved the vibe of this restaurant. I loved the decoration. Paintings on the wall had Mexican modern art vibes. We ordered Ceviche, Chimichurri and Seafood soup. Big portion, definitely enough for two people. We got so full after. Seafood soup was amazing!! I've never seen that big shrimps in my life. Stuff and chef were really friendly. Chef made us the lava cake on the house. I don't usually go with chocolate cake but it was really good. It disappeared after a minute. They have the dance floor and they said DJ comes sometimes. It's good for date night but also party with friends! Highly recommended!!

Had a great dinner at La Perla! Everything was amazing, from the drinks to the food to the service (just one example, my daughter asked if they had lemonade and they made some from scratch!). We’ll definitely be back soon.
