The number one classic American Italian spot in the city. Truly everything on the menu is legit amazing. I've never had a bad meal here and the service is always top notch. Go here on a date or is you just want a quality Italian meal.
Unique and cozy. Autographed photos adorned the walls in a tightly packed dining area. It can get loud on a Friday night. Old school vibes. Delicious food with great service. Not pretentious. Generous portions. Really enjoyed the bow tie pasta dish with chicken and shrimp in a red chipotle marinara sauce. Best tiramisu I’ve ever had. Cannoli is also a winner. Table bread was hard and dry though.
Sometime chance plays a hand and we ended up at La Scarola. How lucky. Delicious authentic Italian food, brilliant staff, both kitchen & front of house. The restaurant was packed, people queuing to sit. The peppers & sausages are a must. Amazing portions for the pasta, everyone was leaving with pack ups as it would definitely feed 2 people and way too good to waste. Great value & a totally great experience.
