I want to preface this review with I live in the neighborhood and I stop by Bar La Rue for a quick lunch bite and have the most amazing service each time. So I expected the same if not better from La Serre, boy was I wrong. A friend of mine was celebrating a birthday and a work promotion so I suggested we go to La Serre to celebrate saturday. Our server, Rose, did not seem happy to be serving us. She barely cracked a smile and was very blunt in her responses. The kicker was when I asked her to bring a sparkler for my friend she said yes but I saw her roll her eyes as she walked away. I was offended and it put a damper on our night. The food was good but the service was lackluster to put it nicely. Ill be sticking to bar la rue where I am not made to feel like a nuisance.

Our server was outstanding. Food is very good, though overpriced. The problem is the maitre d staff. We arrived at 5pm to an open dining room and had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. We brought our two, young children whom we take to Michelin Star restaurants. They wanted to seat us in a back, cold room with high top seats?! What the hell. Impractical and discriminate against parents. We then waited 5 more minutes and a discussion for them to decide it was ok to seat us in the main dining room. Crazy.

We came in a group of 5 to celebrate a birthday. While the food is great, our server Shannon is just exceptional! She’s so warm and welcoming, and makes fantastic suggestions. She made our night extra special and filled with so much fun.

Came here my birthday and got the best service ever. She was very attentive and informing about the menu and gave us recommendations on what to order. The atmosphere was very pretty and aesthetic for photos. Got the clam and linguine pasta and a beef tartare it wasn’t the best the bread was very hard. We also ordered a mocktail it looked very pretty but wasn’t as good but the service made it 5/5. The pasta is the best item there.

Decent almost good food - I think the chef felt the need to adapt the menu for an "American" palate possibly? Service was a bit odd, friendly but somewhat amateurish. I think I get what the decor was trying for but the lush greenery and flowers felt like........plastic.
