The food might’ve tasted ALRIGHT, but after eating my friend and I had the WORST stomach ache ever and had to skip our following class. You can do better in the south loop, or even better just go down a couple redline stops to Chinatown.

The taste is really authentic Chinese. The daily soup is fantastic. I tried spicy dumplings and it reminded me of my Shanghai times.

It's the worst. I ordered food, but it came out an hour later. It doesn't even come out properly. The table that came later was given first. Humanity has been destroyed. Not even 1 point

They are so slow and rude.
Good food but slow and bad service
Lao Sze Chuan is a favorite of mine. Every year when my daughter comes out to visit we go to the OG Chinatown location and always get the same things - she gets the sweet and sour chicken and I get the dry chili chicken. Well at this location I'm happy to report that it's just as good. And for a lunch special the price cannot be beat! Recommended!

We had to order through a QR code, which doesn’t confirm if our orders went through, so we had to ask one of their staff.
We ordered the dan dan noodles, fried rice, orange chicken, and hot and sour soup.
I enjoyed the dan dan noodles the most. The servings were generous.

HANDS DOWN THE WORST PLACE TO EAT. I went in during lunch and it was empty, the server didn't great me or anything just said motioned for me to have a seat. When I sat down all he said was "for here or to go" I said for here then walks off. Didn't give me water, a menu, nothing. The utensils still had leftover food on them and the table next to me had plates on it with flies (keep in mind there's 5 servers working at this time). When my food was ready they just dropped it in front of me without a word and gave a serving spoon to eat it with, then she just went back to sitting and eating with the other servers (which was like 10 feet in front of me at another table) never checked in on me even when I was done and waiting on my check. I had to walk up to their table to pay for my food (I honestly almost just walked out). I pay for my food and when I didn't leave a tip the server gave me this annoyed look. Never felt so uncomfortable and awkward in my life. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Takeout Chinese food with long waits and bad customer service, and expensive. Egg drop soup taste like corn soup and the other food i ordered was egg foo young and some egg rolls. Save ur time and money and go to somewhere else.

We came to this location for lunch as we heard they had some solid lunch specials. You can get an entrée, a side of rice, a veggie roll, and a drink all for around $12.
I ordered the fried rice with the dry chili chicken. The fried rice was quite good, and the chicken was decent with a nice crisp, but was a bit too salty for my taste. The portion size was good for the price. The service was friendly, and the food came out quickly. Clean, well-kept restaurant. Worth a shot if you like Asian food and are looking for a lunch deal!

Desired a new chinese food option today, so deviated from my norm and tried this place. Ordered: 1.) Nice spicy bean curb/peanuts. 2.) Poorly done brisket dish with noodles; spicy broth was good. 3 and a half very small pieces of brisket included; dish is literally 95% noodles, very unbalanced, left alot for be desired. Any other entree would have a lot more of the selected protein, not clear why this is on the "new" menu. And 3.) Enjoyed the crispness of the scallion pancakes.
