Neighborhood gem of uptown. Great old fashioned. Really can't go wrong with any of their cocktails.

You would be better off getting a drink at 7/11. I was optimistic to give Larry’s a try, but it’s nothing more than a gentrified, over-priced bar in the bottom of a residential building. My friend and I each got an Aperol spritz with practically a 2oz pour of prosecco and paid $30. My friend gave a different drink a shot, and he may as well have had a capri sun. I’m not that picky, but when something’s shitty I can tell. College students can buy a gas station beatbox better than the cocktails here. Wouldn’t recommend. Bartenders were pleasant tho, not necessarily their fault.

I had the mezcal cocktail and it was good, but not the best (Kings Cup) in Chicago.
Chill ambiance in the lobby of an apartment complex.

Larry's is always a welcome and relaxing venue. It's a very cozy and intimate vibe.
They host a lot of fun events and activities like Wednesday night trivia and movie nights, and they always decorate for the season.
Bar staff are very friendly and welcoming and can handle a crowd.
They have a range of flavorful cocktails and beer selection and recently added some sandwich and food options from the local Uptown Deli.

Walmart is a store where, in addition to what you are going to buy, you crave something else and you can't help it. You feel very free to shop without anyone asking what you arelooking for, and that allows you to direct your gaze to see what else you might crave.

Jailene and the whole crew at Larry's always make everyone feel so welcome. I love hanging out on the comfy couches both on the patio and in the lobby area!

Great drinks and ambiance. Love how under the radar it is even when shows are happening at the Aragon or riv.

Larry’s at the Lawrence House is like that artsy friend who doesn’t try too hard but somehow still pulls off wearing a hat indoors. It’s a cozy little cocktail bar with just enough personality to make you think “Yeah, I could totally be a regular here.”
The drinks are surprisingly creative… like someone gave a mixologist an improv prompt and they actually nailed it. Definitely some brownie points for the cocktail menu. I ordered something with three ingredients I couldn’t pronounce and it tasted like a summer vacation I can’t afford.
Vibes are chill, lighting is flattering (thank you Larry) and it doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is refreshing in a world full of $22 martinis.
Overall, solid spot. Go if you want to feel like you’re in on a secret. Just don’t tell too many people.

It's a super chill spot with a kind of dive bar feel and really well made fancy cocktails. You can also get really good sandwiches delivered from Uptown Deli across the street until 9.
