Irene and the staff were so awesome tonight. We came to celebrate my sister’s birthday and they were so attentive they were very clear about the menu. They were so nice and they bought out a treat and sang happy birthday to my sister. Irene thank you so much for the hospitality♥️♥️♥️

There were so many great menu options that it was hard to select just one meal so we ended up sharing a few different things. The food was delicious! This restaurant has an opportunity to be exceptional if just a little more attention to detail and service were at the forefront of their minds from the moment a guest steps in the doors to the moment they leave.

Parking sucks, it's easy to miss as you're driving by, and it's often crowded on a Saturday night. Trust, it's worth it. Once you're inside and seated it's easy to forget that you're in Portage Park and not Bogota.
The most important thing to talk about with any restaurant is the food so I'll start with that. If you love a good steak you won't be disappointed with the selection, quality, or preparation. They have other meats on the menu such as chicken, and some of their combination plates have sausage and fried pork belly as well. Their guacamole is clearly made to order and is served with fried plantain chips (it's amazing). I love the empanada sampler as well, and given that neither my partner nor I drink, we appreciate their selection of non-alcoholic beverages. The service can be a little uneven at times but I have never had a bad experience. It's a great date spot, and it's also good for family or friends get-togethers as well as business dinners. Las Tablas is definitely worth the minor inconveniences with parking and location, I very highly recommend it!

The location did not honor reservations and we waited an hour to be seated. I'm not sure if they should be on open table for 30 min increments. Maybe 1 hour increments. Overall good establishment but 2 person tables were limited and they had the back closed off. Patrons should be notified ahead of time about reservations being delayed. Not joining behind a queue at the time of arrival regardless of reservation/walk in

I took my Husband and family to celebrate his birthday. The Atmosphere is absolutely beautiful the vibe and live music was an amazing experience. The restaurant was very clean and welcoming. However service was a little slow and I paid nearly $200 for a family of 4. We ordered the family platter meats by land and sea. Our steak was dripping red with blood. We asked for it to be WELL DONE. After sending it twice I just took it home and cooked it to our liking. Well done. Also the octopus was pretty much burnt and calamari was a little rubbery. It's a fantastic environment we just won't be doing that platter again.

Went tonight New Years eve Dec 31, 2025. Service was SUPER SLOW! Waitress came and took our order for 4 drinks and 4 empanada appetizers and came back 35 minutes later, and then another 15 minutes to bring empanadas. I had to stop the waitress so that she can take our order because after about 45 minutes she still had not taken our order for dinner!!! Food came out about 20 minutes later and was a bit cold and dry! I asked for water and chimichuri and she never came back! I had to get the bus boy to bring me water and never got my chimichuri. Took my son there for the first time and told him how great it was the other times we came. I was disappointed and embarrassed! I guess they were too focused on the New Years event instead of the regular that came in. If the restaurant doesn't have enough staff for regular dinner they should have just shut it down and concentrated on the event they had. I more than likely won't be coming back and telling my friends to go at your own risk! Spent $148 of my hard earned cash including tip, could've spent it elsewhere and got better food and treatment.

Came here for New Year! Paid extra for a reservation. Other people without a reservation were served better. The owner had Kareoke and could not sing. Absolutely the worst 150 dollar q plate experience i have had in my life.

I know it was New Year's Eve but it seemed as if you only had one waitress attending all these guests. She was definitely overwhelmed the food kept getting delivered to wrong table , missing dishes and reminding them about it. I know you were having an event that evening but if the facility was not able to accommodate regular dine in how were you going to manage your event. The food was delicious the service terrible.

We got the Picada Colombiana. The yucca was dry, the plantains were dry and not sweet at all. The chicken strips were tough. Unfortunately they had no Garlic sauce or dip for the yucca. We also had the empanada trio, the chicken had no flavor. Very disappointed in the food. The atmosphere is very nice, unfortunately the food needs some work.
