I had a stopover in Chicago and found this great German pub...the beer selection is just great, even König Pils on tap! Scott, the owner, is the best and the food is also delicious, even with mustard from Düsseldorf! Just great respect! I'd love to come back!

Birthday dinner with cousins. Fantastic food. Nice little neighborhood treasure, been there a long time. Great German food hit the spot. Very warm and welcoming!

Kid-friendliness: We had several very young ones with us. They were very accommodating.

Laschet’s Inn is very nice, neighborhood restaurant and bar. It has an expansive menu of German favorites. It was packed when I was there on a Friday night- the vibe of the place is friendly and fun. I need to go back and try more of the menu.

Incredible spot with great German beer. In general German food can be hit or miss, but Laschet's does it right. The goulash is thick, hearty, and spicy. I would highly recommend the Leberkase sandwich. And you can't go wrong with a big ol' pretzel to help soak up the second half of your third liter of beer. ?

It's a cozy little place with great food. It's a little slice of Germany, for anyone craving nostalgia for it, or looking for a fairly genuine experience related to it. Food portions are adequate for the cost, and the beer prices are exceptional for this day and age. Keep an eye on their daily specials for something you like.

Dietary restrictions: If you have a dairy restriction, be cautious. The staff doesn't understand what dairy is, and most of the menu items contain dairy. Be clear and polite in lining up what you cannot have. I did the schnitzel, modified without the gravy, took a pill to be safe, and was fine.

Parking: There's paid parking right out front, or one of the side streets tend to have unpaid walking if you're willing to walk a couple mins.

Food was good but service was extremely disappointing. My drink, main course, and desert order were all incorrectly. When my main course came out incorrectly, instead of offering to fix it, the waitress only offered to charge me for what I ended up receiving. The food was good but I was quite disappointed that I didn’t end up with what I ordered. Won’t be back.

This may be the best restaurant in the world. Excellent beer selection, delicious food, lively atmosphere, great service. Ardently loyal clientele.

It's everything you want to a classic, old school German restaurant, and nothing you don't.

Prost!

A neighborhood gem, never a bad experience. Love how they have specific mugs for each beer and the food is always amazing. Good German places are becoming harder to come by.
