4 words..Order the short ribs You will thank me Also if you are looking for a quieter dining space , ask to be seated upstairs.
We enjoyed our meal here. The drinks were great, we enjoyed the appetizers, and liked the burgers. The steak frite was just ok, and a bit more on the well done side when we had requested medium rare. Desserts were fantastic also. One thing was that I mentioned while making the reservation was that we were celebrating two special occasions here and they weren't acknowledged! Overall, I'd come back for a casual meal but not a special occasion.
Our small group was celebrating a birthday. Leña Brava gives a cozy chic vibe. Great for small group gatherings or date nights. The service was fantastic. The host, servers, and staff were incredibly kind and attentive. And the food did not disappoint! We're ordered the Baja Mariscada, Roasted Chicken, and Braised Short Rib. The Baja Mariscada was delicious!! It was a wonderful assortment of really flavorful seafood! The roasted chicken was moist and the short rib was pretty hearty. I'd recommend one of their wood-fired platters for sure.
Went to Leña Brava for lunch with coworkers, and the experience hit just right. We kept it pretty straightforward but flavorful—shared theLeña Burger*,wood-grilled ham torta, and papas bravas. The Leña Burger was legit—juicy, charred nicely, and that spicy aioli gave it some extra attitude. The ham torta came loaded with smoky, rich layers, and the fresh bolillo roll held it all together beautifully. Service was chill but on point, and the space has that cool West Loop energy without being too loud for a lunch convo. Solid pick for breaking up the workday or just grabbing great food in a fun spot.
Fantastic experience for the second time in two weeks, celebrating my son's birthday. Great environment and food with outstanding attention by Eduardo, who made us feel at home. We will be back!
The food and service were amazing. Definitively coming back. Thanks to our waitress Valentina!
Me encantó el lugar está súper lindo , la comida excelente y deliciosa, nos trataron excelente claro que regresaré.
I hadn't been to Lena Brava in a while. It's upped its game. Service was top notch. If you love a wood-fired menu with incredible, authentic, regional Mexican cuisine, this is it!
Amazing experience! The food was delicious and the Papi Diablo cocktail was very good. I will definitely be back.
Food and service always the best. Striped Bass is the best. Cooked to perfection served with tortilla, sautéed onion and choice of to flavors (or half and half).

We died and went to heaven when we tasted the wood roasted oysters & seared scallops! Ambiance, drinks, service, food, and overall vibe was 20/10!!!!
A wonderful dining experience. Food and service were remarkable. An energetic atmosphere. Incredible menu insights for solid recommendations. Will be back.
Food and ambiance were top notch! Grabbed several small plates, apps and sides to share for the table with excellent recommendations from our server. The subtraction of the star comes from the mixup with my reservation. I received two separate confirmation text messages one from Open Table and one from Resy. I originally booked through Open Table so only responded/managed my reservation there plus the Resy one had the wrong number of people. When my friend checked in they referred to the Resy reservation which was wrong and when we all arrived, they didn't even have a table ready to seat us. We were directed to the hostess upstairs only to be told to wait at the bar. I wish they had just acknowledged a mixup with their reservation system and they will try their best to accommodate us as soon as possible. Overall still a great experience, just wish it started off on the right foot!
Loved this special 5 course dinner pairing wines from Azizam winemaker, Maryam Hariri, vineyard with the fabulous food!
Pretentious fusion food that made no sense. Cheesecake smothered in Parmesan shavings - who comes up with this?!! And the music was loud beyond belief - just any other hipster joint with no soul. None of the ambience and sense of place of old frontera grill. Feel sad that this is a Rick Bayless brand, there was no authenticity or heart in it at all.
