I passed this place every day for a year when I lived in Chicago. I thought about it often when I moved back to California. After 4 long years, I finally got to try it. This place exceeded my expectations. The food was phenomenal. I did get my table 30 minutes past my reservation, however, they were kind and comped our first drinks as a courtesy. Best mussels, beet salad and French onion soup I've ever had! Amazing food. Atmosphere is noisy and energetic and the place is quite small and cramped. You sit right next to others and, if they are loud and dominating a conversation, you get to hear it all. But, that's part of the ambiance. I think the server got busy and forgot about our order of mussels, so we waited another 15 minutes +/- for them. Again, that's what you get for a very popular place with insane...
Cozy and romantic atmosphere — perfect for a date night. The place gets busy early, so I’d recommend making a reservation for dinner.
We tried the Petit Lapin en Croute (like chicken pot pie but with rabbit), Fjord Trout en Croute, French Onion Soup, and Maple Crème Brûlée. The soup was a bit salty, but the rabbit and trout dishes were delicious and beautifully presented
