Lovely place for a special lunch...generous portions, well-presented, obvious care taken in preparation of the meal, pleasant service. My only negative is that conversation is compromised a bit by the acoustics which made it noisy. Oh my gosh...the beet salad is outstanding...even if you don't like beets, you will love it! Mussels, mussels, mussels in a fabulous broth with crunchy bread on the side and the best fries ever!
The ocean trout in a puff pastry was exceptional. One of the best fish dishes I have ever had. Everything else was alright. The ambience of Le Bouchon reminded me of the street-side restaurants in Paris!
Le Bouchon is a hidden gem in Bucktown. The food is incredible and the menu constantly rotates so there's always something new to try! Sit in Medina's section if you can, she's the best and always has great recs <3
