This place has been for 40 years and there’s a reason why.

Try the ancient Chicago Chinese specialty, pressed duck. Also classic Chicago egg rolls with peanut butter. I drive a little extra to get my Chinese from this place.

The orange chicken lunch was very delicious, it came with soup and an appetizer, the flavor is too different than other restaurants! And of course the price is worth it!

Food: I got the Shrimp Fried Rice and Sweet and Sour Chicken lunch special recently. It came with soup (I got The Egg Drop Soup) and Crab Rangoons. The Shrimp Fried Rice was good! The Sweet and Sour Chicken was good. The Egg Drop Soup was just ok. The Crab Ragoons were good.

This is the only place we ever get Chinese food. After almost a year of trying different places, Lee’s is the shining star. We order from here at least every other week now. The fried rice is great and has never disappointed

Sat for 15 minutes with not a single staff member coming up to my table. Wasn’t even busy. There was One other table in the restaurant. A 4 top that was already eating.

The service and atmosphere were great, and so was the food, but the one star was for them not taking my allergy seriously enough and not completely remaking the food, causing me to get an allergic reaction which lasted hours.
Also they charge for tea which no upstanding Chinese place does.

I just want to say, this place has to be the best Chinese restaurant in the city! The food is amazing as well. As you guys can see in the photo everything was amazing. We had egg foo young, pepper steak, egg rolls, and let me tell you, it was off the charts! However I also want to point out that the owner was very kind and did me a favor. When my girlfriend was eating an egg roll, a ring popped out and I was embarrassed and I asked her to marry me :) now I have to say, God bless this restaurant, thank you for helping me make a nerve wrecking moment a special one!

Don’t let the negative reviews fool you—Lee’s Chop Suey is fantastic! We’ve ordered from them multiple times, and they’ve never disappointed. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Their chop suey is a standout, but honestly, everything we’ve tried has been excellent. Portions are generous, and the service is consistently quick and friendly.

If you’re craving authentic, delicious Chinese food, we highly recommend giving Lee’s a try. It’s become our go-to spot, and we’ll definitely be back for more!

I haven't been here for decades, but took my date there to try it out. The service was great but the food was awful. The fried rice was hard and tasteless. The hot sour soup was bad. The egg rolls were ok. Egg fu young lacked in seasoning and flavor. My Mongolian Chicken was salty. I ate all the chicken but didn't enjoy it. I feel bad given the positive reviews but my experience didn't match up with the others. This place has been here for the longest time but my current experience was a one and done. I don't mind the outdated paneling or ambiance but the food was not good. Well I have some nostalgic connection to the place as a local, I could never recommend it.

After reading some previos reviews I have to wonder of they have a new cook or did they somewhere else called Lee's! We went in at around 1pm in a friday the place was empty. We were told we can sit wherever we like , after being greeted every so nicely. We were excited we caught the lunch specials. I ordered shrimp egg food young that came with chicken fried rice and an egg roll and a small bowl of soup .The soup hot and sour was lacking flavor watered down. My rice was extremely hard , the eggfoo yoing did not taste like anything no flavor what so ever .

A nice quaint place with a very subtle and relaxed feeling.

Wonderful selection of drinks to enjoy alongside that classic Chinese food taste. It was a very filling meal and I recommend anyone to try it.

I had the watermelon smoothie / slush drink with broccoli beef and beef fried rice to try some stuff. Crab Rangoon was really flavorful and the sauces are home made. The sweet & sour sauce really took it to the next level.

I had an amazing experience at this Chinese restaurant! From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. I ordered the Orange Chicken Lunch Special and the Pork Egg Rolls, and both dishes were absolutely delicious—fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, and served piping hot. The fresh Watermelon Juice also hit the spot! The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were super reasonable. I also really appreciated how clean and well-kept the place was. Definitely a new favorite—I’ll be coming back soon!

I am an Uber driver so I stopped in to get something To eat The food here is amazing. It's really good. This is my second time here in 2 days. These are really nice people very friendly. I just feel sorry for the lady Cause she had a stroke and she's still working here. While her husband is out there doing Uber to make extra money to take care of their business. Please support these people in there business 🙏
