Arrived at this spot for dinner. Waited outside for about 20 minutes before I got inside. After being inside for 20 minutes the owner informs everyone that there 'will be a 25 minute wait on everything'.Well...40 minutes passed before I was able to place my order. Once that happened I then got my food in an reasonable time(few minutes or so). I decided to come here based on various reviews. However, I was not prepared to not only stand outside on the street for that long but then to get inside and wait even longer. In my opinion, this kind of service is completely unacceptable! I only stayed because I reasoned to myself "you have come this far and waited this long already".Lem's flavor reminds me of Freddy's BBQ that used to sit on the corner of 83rd Jeffrey/South Chicago. The ribs were pretty tender but a little too greasy for me. Lem's...you have to do better because your customer's that are right there in the same community deserve better! Don't you think? They choose to take their hard earned money and patronize your establishment. If I could make a suggestion...take phone orders with the payment or use online ordering.

The food is straight garbage. Rib tips were tough and flavorless. Chicken wings were refried from another time. The bread was stuck to the meat and soggy from the steam in the bag. BBQ sauce was straight out of the bottle. I'll never go back.

Extremely frustrated! I feel like I wasted my money. Instead of the small end I ordered, I received a center cut, which I do not enjoy. The meat was thick and tough, not what I expected. I'm curious about the return policy—is there a way to exchange it? If it wasn't already late on a Thursday night and if I lived closer, I'd consider taking it back. Lesson learned: always check your food before leaving.
Classic southside Chicago barbecue joint. Line was wrapped around the store because the NCAA championship, they still was able to get everyone served in a timely fashion. Barbecue tasted very fresh and everything was cooked perfect. Got the JBL special and the rib tips had a perfect smoke ring. Fries would be dope with a little seasoning on them but that’s my only thing I could say. Keep up the great work yall. Highly recommended!!

Waiting in line is absolutely worth it. Best BBQ I’ve ever had in my life. We got the JBL Special and every single item was falling-off-the-bone and cooked to perfection. The sauce is off the charts. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the way. Will definitely be back.

Lems beennaround for decades and they're bbq remains the same which is good and fresh. They're parking haven't improved and they're line are still long but it's worth the wait everytime. Sorry forgot to take pics i was hungry lol will do next time.
