As always, dining at Les Nomades is very special. We enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience, from the welcoming flute of Champagne through finishing the Grand Marnier soufflé. The complex flavor of the caviar surprise complemented by the great wine pairing was particularly a delight.
Our dinner was delicious and plated with tender care. The thinly sliced peach in my salad reached perfection. However, the waitstaff fell short of memorable and luxurious experience Awkward motions and apologies accompanied a hurried pace. I would have enjoyed brief descriptions of the dishes, ingredients, and preparation methods.
Fine Dining FAIL. The customers, interior, and owner are all 70+. Food was almost there. Too many Michelin starred restaurants in the city to pay this kind of money for a fail. Don't make the same mistake I did.
In thirty years I've never had a bad meal at Les Nomades. It remains one of my favorite French restaurants anywhere.
The service was flawless. The meal was great!! I recommend this restaurant as a way to treat yourself or others you care abour. It is great to dine at a restaurant and not see others in jeans, tee shirts or other casual wear. Bravo to Les Nomades
We had a very enjoyable evening. The food was terrific, each dish more than lived up to our expectations. The wait staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and expert. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our meal and our evening at Les Nomades
At this spot, time stands still and so does your posture because you’re trying to behave like someone who knows what a fish fork is. This old-school French haven is prix fixe fancy with a capital F. Think whisper while you chew fancy. I got the soft-shell crab and scallop and lobster salad, which felt like it studied abroad in Provence, and the loup de mer (aka sea bass), which was basically a perfectly cooked poem.
What a culinary curtsy. Très special, très old, très worth it.
This is the best restaurant in Chicago!!! The food and wine are extraordinary. And, the environment is full of art. And, there is no blaring music and you can actually talk with your company!
Food taste quality of service is excellent. Been there several times as a special place for special occasions. I did ask the main server to wrap up the crème Brulé for dessert that I was planning on eating today ( our res was for 5/30 anniversary)but that didn't happen. The server Jamie G never wrapped it up in the bag . Only a big deal because I really wanted to enjoy it 6128 sir 6128 table 22 for reference. I'll plays on Jamie G as a future server Get my shoes on It's great otherwise
What a classic restaurant should be..perfectly prepared food served with grace and elegance. Wonderful wines by the glass so that a party of two can do a progressive wine pairing. Sauces and flavors are balanced with depth. With the current dining focus on molecular gastronomy or elevated street food it is a breathe of fresh air to enjoy a classic haute menu deftly executed with ambience.

This restaurant is a must-visit and an absolute gem. The presentation is top notch, flavors are strong, unforgettable, and definitely not oversalted. The ambience is an excellent escape from the hustle and bustle of every day.
An outstanding feast! The entire experience was sublime. A throwback to a bygone era. The best location for a very special meal.
Attentive and experienced staff, great drinks and food options, fixed menu made it easy to order. We ended with a soufflé that will bring us back. *Gentlemen, although they don't enforce this policy, but Jacket is strongly recommended, don't be that guy! Sorry I was that guy 😓.
A quiet spot for some very fine cuisine Francaise. Everything is prix fixed (fixed price) so you pay for four or five courses and then select which option you want for each course. Our favorites were the foie gras, scallop and shrimp duo, warm lobster salad, and wagyu short rib. The price point is high but the quality is good.
Disappointing despite their best efforts We've not been to Les Nomades in many years, and I was hoping for a great dining experience. The staff are welcoming and capable and service is exemplary. The dining room is getting a bit worn but the ambiance is quiet and comfortable, with starched linens, formal silver plate, modest glassware and china. Sadly, the food, while ambitious, is not up to par. My foie gras appetizer with a heavy cherry sauce was served on a plate that was so hot the foie gras melted into oil as fast as I could eat it. The lobster salad was uninspired, lightly dressed chopped romaine with a reasonable amount of unadorned lobster surrounding it and some additional flavorless sauces as accents. The duck was workmanlike at best. Simple sliced breast and a dry overdone leg in a basic presentation. Dessert was grand marnier souffles which were perfect. It feels as if the kitchen has been serving the same dishes forever and the staff are simply uninspired, going through the motions. At its heart the menu is quite simple and simple is hard. It requires obsessive attention.
