My first time coming here, the artwork is beautiful. The customer service is amazing. The different taste of food is good. I love the carrot fluff even their sweets are delicious. The navy soup was good. I also enjoyed the salmon with the basmati vegetable rice, and I also have a salmon fataya they were not to my liking maybe try a different type of sauce with it. I don’t know if they fried in ole grease but overall everything was delicious even the pineapple ginger drink will come back had leftovers my kids enjoyed all ??

I'm disappointed in leaving this message, however I went there today which is a Tuesday to order a Turkey Burger. Eat to Live have postings outside in their window promoting specials Monday through Friday. As I was going to pay for my order, I noticed my burger came to $16 dollars and when I asked about the special the cashier said, "you didn't ask for the special" and refused to change the amount. I try to support businesses and been coming to this restaurant for awhile, as well as the Food Spot. However, one bad interaction can leave a negative review on the business. Usually all of the workers are so sweet and welcoming, this one was just rude and not willing to work with me.

My girlfriend had her 52nd Birthday celebration 4/7/2024 of a nice group. Food was excellent and also the service. Waitress was great the atmosphere was beautiful. Definitely coming back soon

So, my best friend and myself were trying to find chicken and waffles for her, and I was hungry for some fish so we stopped at a place near me that didn't have chicken and waffles or any of the sort. Found this place, and made the drive from the burbs to try it out. So worth the drive! They have a lamb special on Thursdays which we both got along with the chicken and waffles. So freaking delicious. Lamb had a very pleasant Sutter sweet and garlic flavor. Chicken was juicy and crispy. All sides were delicious. I can't wait to come back here again.

I love the concept (striving to encourage healthy eating) and the fact that it is a black-owned business in a black neighborhood is even better. The food has been top notch all 3 times that I have ordered from here; they do not disappoint. There has not been a dish that I didn't like (red snapper, greens, carrot fluff, turkey burger, need I say more?!). My colleague had a black bean burger, yesterday and returned today for another. Keep up the good work and excellent customer service. I will continue to patronize this business. Great ingredients and great food, can't beat it! Peace & blessings to the establishment and customers! Let's continue to support a business worthy of being supported.

We came in on a Sunday afternoon and ordered the falafel and hummus (good presentation but the falafel could have been more flavorful), the salmon fataya (delicious), Jamaican beef pattie (flakey and scrumptious), smoked wings (solid), chicken Caesar salad (chicken grilled to perfection & the homemade croutons were fire!), escovitch red snapper w/ coconut sweet rice, mustard greens w/ smoked salmon, & carrot fluff (a complete hit! Nothing missed), and the butter garlic lamb chops with Mac and cheese and garlic Brussels sprouts (also a good choice but this batch of Brussels were really salty). So overall our first visit was a success and we will be back! Our server, Nakiah was really sweet and attentive. The space was clean. The art on the wall was nice. I had never had “carrot fluff” before but I’m an instant fan. I’m very happy to have a place like this in our neighborhood.

Restaurant itself was great looking nice atmosphere but the food was very disappointing my waffle was sogy and the chicken tasted old or like they fried it in old grease. The sever was nice but rushed the order because it was close to noon and she was leaving she never came back asked if we wanted or needed anything else, May try again if in the area but today wasn't it for them
