I went there craving for something sweet after 6 PM on Friday. Ordered a chocolate brioche, a coconut chocolate chip caramel cookie and a chocolate cookie. Everything seemed to be freshly baked, unexpectedly heavy, and full of filling, so it took the two of us three days to consume this good stuff. And I never had an issue with a lack of appetite.I personally prefer less sweet options, but these cookies are not as sweet as traditional American staples, and I appreciate that. If you want a cookie so packed with stuff it becomes a bit overpowering, the coconut one is a good choice. Not complaining though. It fed the two of us.Brioche was a bit too thick for my taste, but it was also good. The service that I experienced is what I assume to be typical for Chicago: slightly poker-faced and nonchalant but not rude or anything like that.I would give this bakery another try for the items that I haven’t eaten yet.

Ordered from here for the first time yesterday and now I feel left out that no one told me how AMAZING this place is ?I tried the lemon loaf slice and the 2 chip chocolate chip cookie… first of all, the portions were HUGE (which is great for me, someone who loves snacks) and not only were they a great size, the flavor was even greater! Since my slice was next to the end piece, I assume they gave me the end piece as an extra slice for that reason which was so nice because I could share with my boyfriend without giving him any of mine ?Definitely want to come in person to see how the feel of the place is and can review the service, etc.

The space is small. If there's over 7 or 8 people in line or waiting for orders, you begin to feel a little cramped. The space was clean. The menu is pretty simple. I like that they have visuals of their products in little cases by the register. Pricing is a bit on the higher end. I spent almost $18 for 3 items.I opted for a cinnamon butter brioche, a 2 chip chocolate chip cookie, and the lemon cookie. The brioche was good, nice and fluffy, not too sweet. However, the flavor of the cinnamon was very underwhelming and almost too light. The bread is very thick, and if you bite into it without pulling the 2 pieces apart, you barely taste the cinnamon. I figured out that pulling the 2 sides apart was the best way to eat the bun so I could taste the cinnamon. There's also not much of the cinnamon butter on the inside. I wouldn't buy it again. The cookies are VERY dense. 1 cookie is more than enough for 3-4 people. You literally only need a piece of the cookie. The chocolate chip was ok. Not too sweet, plenty of chocolate chips, crispy on the edges and bottom, but very soft and cakey on the inside. I think it needs a pinch of flaky salt to really set off the flavor. I'd buy again. The lemon cookie stole the show! It was absolutely amazing. The base of the cookie smells like a sugar or butter cookie, and there's a lemon filling inside. OMG! I'd go back over and over again for that lemon cookie. It was served warm, and it was just perfect. I wouldn't take anything away or add anything.I'll be back before the spring is over for the lemon cookie and to try the other treats.Parking: Spaces are few and far between. Randolph is a very bury, high traffic street, especially when the weather is nice.

Walking into Levain Bakery in Chicago, I was immediately enveloped in the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked cookies. The cool, bustling atmosphere of the shop added to the excitement of trying their famous six-ounce chocolate chip walnut cookies. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint. Each bite was a perfect harmony of crispy edges and a soft, gooey center, loaded with rich chocolate chips and crunchy walnuts. It was an unforgettable experience that truly lived up to the hype. Levain Bakery is an absolute must-visit for anyone in search of the ultimate cookie indulgence.

One of the best cookies you’ll ever have. I tried their original location in New York and somehow this cookie tasted even better! Crispy exterior with a fluffy decadent chocolatey interior… what more can you ask for ??

A rudderless ship. Visually appealing and clean. Very poor management strategy. I wouldn't feed a rat what they gave me.
