L'il Babareeba has morphed - like the original - from being close to what you might find in Spain to being 'Spanish-like'. The food is still pretty good and it's still a value if you know how to order. Like any good tapas bar in Spain, it is noisy, but not so much that you can't have a conversation. The service is very good and knowledgeable.
I have been to the Lincoln Park location (Café Ba-Ba-Reeba) many times, I'm so glad I finally made it to this spot! The service here was incredible, and the ambiance was elegant yet relaxed. When they say "Lil", they mean it. It's significantly smaller than their other location and not suitable for large groups but worth the visit nonetheless. Their food never misses! Get the Chorizo Wrapped Dates, and don't miss their dessert menu--key word(s): Butterscotch...
Shishito peppers, Bacon wrapped dates, mushroom, crystal bread, Iberican ham platter, beef empanada, hanger steak. We order the same thing every time and are never disappointed. Great food and atmosphere, friendly people.
