Came in for the fall cocktails and they were really good. Crab noodles were my favorite. But shrimp fried rice was a over seasoned

You would never know. Just walk on by. But it’s your loss if you do. The food is amazing. Flat out good. So much better than any of those downtown corporate places. Cooked with heart and profoundly good flavor, texture and palate. Next door to perhaps the best pasta in the Midwest, this restaurant and bar should be on your list.

really like this neighborhood spot. The menu has changed up a bit with seemingly less items than before but nevertheless the food is solid just small menu. The drinks remain very good and unique and some fun glassware. Good patio to sit at as well that doesn't get too crowded - inside can get pretty loud in such a small area and kind of awkward to move around when it is packed. All in all, very much so recommend!

All I can say is wow. The drinks, the food the atmosphere it might look small, but it’s long and deeper than expected. So you can bring more friends to eat the incredible food or drink the insane delicious drinks.

We had a fair experience at Lilac Tiger. Went in on a Friday night and were seated fairly quickly. My cocktail was great. My friend's, not so much. We ordered the vada pav and the chettinad paneer curry. My friend also got mussels. Everything was alright. Very few vegetarian options and the ones we ordered were okay. Service was a little spotty. The hostess who greeted and seated us was very professional and was amazing.
We weren't super impressed but the place is worth checking out and we will definitely want to give it another try.

Very average would not wait for it. Overall the food did not surprise nor offend. However for southeast Asian cuisine i would consider other options. We had the dumplings (nihari nomo), which were very interesting and had good fresh ingredient that gave it a nice balance between spice and sweet.

The nuggets (ferrani special) were real meat and chicken with good tandoori seasoning but lacked personality. I wish they were spicier or sweeter. They were stuck in the middle.

The calamari were disappointing, came out soggy and could have been a lot more crispy. I would avoid.

The mains we had the masala that felt like it could have been made at home and therefore I felt disappointed by this. The tiger prawns with fried rice were good but the portion could have used more shrimp or crab meat to give it more depth. Felt like a lot of rice with little else.

The drinks were very very good however, I’d consider coming for just drinks. the sweater weather which was a hot tottie was amazing and would recommend trying. Thea old fashioned was interesting as well but would stick to the more interesting drinks.

Vegetarian options: Veggie options are very limited

Parking: Very tricky parking and would go during the week to make it easier to find parking

( To Lilac Tiger) Okay, thanks for your reply!! I'm a dork, but yoooo, it's popping up everywhere, even in cafes that are not bakeries, and I'm seeing it sold next to all the regular beverages in the convenient stores now, so it's got me a little freaked out on the regulation and frequency everywhere.

To the public: cool, dark little spot with great mixology. Great location. Recommend!

Cocktails were mediocre and mixed poorly. The curry poutine was actually pretty solid, as were the desserts we ordered. Atmosphere was lively and loud, however, the service was under par. Spilled a drink on me and brought out the wrong items 2 times. This option is fine but I wouldn’t return back. Plenty of better options are in the direct vicinity.

Ordered THC Sando. It wasnt great. The chicken was overcooked. They made another one for us. Still didn’t taste good. Was dripping with the spicy honey which was sweeter than expected and drippy. Used to have the THC Sando before they were a brick and mortar spot. The Kati roll was good. In the end, the chef gave as a Ube Cake desert on the house which smacking good. Overall the service was great but the food was sub par.

This was a surprisingly good place! We showed up on a Tuesday evening without a reservation and got a table. We ordered the nihari momo, chicken chettinad masala and a thc sando and everything tasted really good and had lots of flavor! We also got ube milk cake for dessert and that was good too. Would recommend this for a spot to grab some quick indian food.

We ordered almost everything on the menu. All the food was delicious. The burger and the calamari really stood out for me.

** If you have sensitive teeth be careful with the cucumber salad. It includes some crunchy stuff that felt like it was going to break my teeth. ?
