Was a bit disappointed if I'm being honest. A couple of items weren't available. I had a party of 7 & we all ordered 2nd course meals which includes the cabbage slaw & plantains along with 2 sides. For the price of the meals we were expecting to have our own cabbage slaw but only a small amount was brought out for the whole party to “share” & the plantains were dry & hard along with the beans & rice. Reservations were for 7pm so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with the lack of fresh food. Also not sure if they were understaffed but had to remind our server about the lemonades that were order as well as the condiments that were requested during the time our orders were taken. Overall would have to give it a 4/10. Needless to say I'm glad for the experience.

Excellent food! Explosive Haitian flavors and fine cuisine!

Food was amazing! Just make sure you have time to wait because it takes a while to receive your food! It could have been because it was two parties dining when i visited! Overall not a bad experience I will definitely be a returning customer!

Excellent Haitian food and super friendly service. We really enjoy having another great restaurant on the far south side (there aren't too many ;) ). Will definitely go back and try other dishes.

Great customer service. Immediately welcomed upon entering. Complimentary appetizers served as we were first time diners. Meals were served hot. Every single entrée was seasoned to perfection. I will definitely be returning

We had a late reservation and were the only ones there but I really liked that. The music set the ambiance. I loved how there was so much love they showed Haiti with history art and esthetic. The staff was amazing really made us feel welcomed and accommodating. On to the food it was truly amazing and they are not selfish with the portions at all. I had the chicken and beef patties to start. Then I had the legume and oxtails with a side of the kale greens. For dessert I had the a banana pudding ice cream. As a Haitian the legume was great and very fulfilling. The oxtails were overwhelming in all the great ways. I was so full and forgot I ordered dessert took that to go but as soon as I got to my car I had to eat some and ended up eating it all in the car. Slept like a baby that night happy with the service and having a taste of my culture. Definitely going to comeback and bringing my family

We had a group of ten. Our waitress was amazing. The food was great. Beautiful, welcoming location. Loved the murals and the music. We were told that they have nights with live bands. I would love to attend one of these nights because it seems like it would be a vibe. One disappointment was that the manager on duty was a bit rude. I mentioned that I reached out to ensure they were expecting our large group, but no one got back to me. He had a smart alec reply that rubbed several of our group the wrong way. Also, the food came out in terrible order. Eggs but not the bacon. Some appetizers after the meal. Part of the table eating but others not. Perhaps if I would have been contacted about the group OR if they looked at my OpenTable reservation, they would have been better prepared. Again, our waitress was super. She went above and beyond! The food was yummy. Those strawberry biscuits were delicious. We also enjoyed the shrimp bombs, pate and accra. The potatoes were a bit disappointing.

I just wish they were open more hours . This restaurant would be perfect for a laid back upscale crowd. Especially if there were more live music nights and Karaoke. I'm still looking forward to their patio experience!

I was excited to try Hatian food for the first time. And the murals on the outside of the building were very helpful in preparing me for the rich historical significance of the space I was about to enter. The wait staff were pleasant and engaged me relatively quickly. They brought out menus and water right away. Loved that the TV screens were scrolling rich Haitian history. Granted I arrived a little late, around 7p, so things were kind of slowing down. The only challenge for me is that there were several things on the menu that they ran out by the time we arrived, and sometimes we learned about this in real time, sometimes it was a few minutes before something was to arrive and sometimes it was after asking about something when it did not show. In fairness, they tried to make it right. When the oxtails were small, they offered us other meat options. The portions were nice sized but It just felt like they were trying to make it to the end of the evening. We did not even get the option of ordering desert. I am going to chalk it up to the hour in which I arrived and give them another try. Thanks much for the rich Hatian history.
